But, no self-respecting Marine with enough ammo to choke an elephant is gonna let that happen, is he? The #1 PC action-shooter of all time, from id Software, is now in the palm of your hand!
Summary: Considering I have never really played Doom on the PC I was amazed at how good this game looked on the GBA. Everything was there, even the chainsaw and before I knew it I was hooked. If you want some life out of a GBA game that really does rival the fun of any other platform shooter then buy this game, you will not be dissapointed. What you expext is what you get basically, and thats a good thing.
Summary: Doom for gameboy advance is the best ported game I have ever seen. Knowing the limitation of Gameboy advance, folks at Doom did a great job of keeping most of Doom from PC to GBA.
Summary: I was looking for Ecks VS Sever when i got doom. Nobody seemed to have heard of it, so i got doom, and i was NOT dissapointed. Doom is absolute awesomicity. The movement is better than it is on PC (well dos version anyhow, I dont know about windows version) and the graphics are supurb. Levels are good fun and nearly straight from the pc version, slight differences like less detail in a few places but it is nothing to worry about. Awesome.

Summary: Better than NES version, and rivals the PC version. I bought this game expecting smaller levels. I new the graphics would be good at 32 bit, but how would they cram all of those vast 3D worlds into a game system you can put in your pocket. I expected smaller environments, but what I got was a trip back to the past, reliving the DOOM experience all over again. As for the sound, uh! it was never very good to start with (even the PC version had mediocre sound), and who really cares? This game is better than the original, and a whole new way to experience DOOM.
Summary: This game has mediocrity written all over. Being a fan of "Doom" from the old days, I thought for sure that the Gameboy Advance game would be awesome. And...well, it's pretty much the same game, but it just aged downright horribly. First off, the goal of every level is to get to the switch at the end. That's it. Sure, sometimes there's puzzles and stuff, but a little more variety would've been appreciated. Next is the pretty bad story line. I don't think storylines matter that much in games like this, but if they're going to have one, they should at least make it good. Basically, you're a stranded space marine surrounded by demons and you have to blast your way out. Yay. Gameplay compared to any other FPS out now is pretty bad, seeing as you can't jump, or aim up or down. I know it's an old game, but as I said, it aged horribly, and there's no need for this with all of the other FPS out there. The game isn't BAD by any means, but it really should've been better...so next time, I think they should make an entirly new Doom game for GBA, not port an old one.
