Konami Gradius Galaxies Gameboy Advance Action Review

Konami Gradius Galaxies

Description
Gradius Galaxies' side-scrolling action hearkens back to the early days of arcade shoot-'em-ups - wave after wave of enemies hound you through 8 all new stages, and colossal end bosses fill the screen with a constellation of heavy fire. Strap yourself in tight behind the controls of the Vic Viper, a fast and deadly attack ship. Choose the weapons configuration, including twin cannons, photon missiles, and beam lasers, and enhance those weapons during gameplay by grabbing power ups.

Summary:
This actually is a very fun and entertaining arcade space game. Theres lots of powerups which are the best part of the game and it can be chalenging. The bosses are awsome and get harder as you choose different skill levels .All around a good game .

Summary:
Gradius Galaxies is the best game on GBA after Advance Wars. It is a true-school (not "old-school") 2D shooter designed expressly for GBA. This is NOT a silly SNES port, but an honest, original GBA game.

Summary:
Those of you who know the history of Gradius, will know that the tried and tested formula has barely changed over the years, give or take a slight change of weaponery and enemies. But for the newcomers; this GBA version is an original reinvention of one of the most influential arcade shoot 'em ups in history. What's more, it's a job well done. For me - a big fan of the trilogy - it's a little dream come true, the chance to play an old favourite on the move. An 'old school' classic, competently reworked for the present.

Summary:
gradius galaxies... it stays true to the classic gradius formula. gradius is one of the best shooter series, so that's definitely a good thing. if you haven't played gradius, it's more of a slow paced shooter in the vein of R-Type than it is the fast past style of Raiden. this game doesn't break any new grounds, but it does what it does very well. as far as shooters go, this is the best one i've played in a while, and by far the best one available on the GBA so far.
