Nintendo Mario vs. Donkey Kong Gameboy Advance Action Review

Nintendo Mario vs. Donkey Kong

Description
After years of apparent good will, Mario and Donkey Kong are at it again -- this time on Game Boy Advance! Donkey Kong has stolen all of the Mini-Mario toys from the Mario Toy Co., and now it's up to Mario to hunt down his long-time nemesis and retrieve the pilfered goods. He'll have to race through confounding levels, finding keys and releasing Mini Marios, before time runs out. Along the way he'll master new moves in order to scale the puzzling heights of six action-packed worlds.

Summary:
One of the classical updates on a retro game from 1994, this is Mario vs. Donkey Kong. The original game, Donkey Kong, was a black and white game on the original Game Boy. Not only did it include classic puzzle elements, it had the classic Mario finesse of the original Super Mario Bros. If anything, the original Donkey Kong was a remake of the NES version, right down to the hammers and enemies. This new game on the GBA, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, updates on the classic puzzle elements and throws in a few extra elements too, including the all new Mini-Mario toys!! The story begins as Donkey Kong is sitting at home, watching the television, and he sees an advertisement for the Mini-Mario toys. The advertisement reaches out to Donkey Kong and he soon falls in love with the little toys. He runs over to the nearest toy store to buy one, but they are all sold out. But, just as he is about to leave, he sees Mario’s Toy Company across the street. He goes in, takes all of the Mini-Marios, and runs away. Thus begins the classic puzzle game. So, unlike the original Donkey Kong, in this game, he kidnaps toys instead of a princess. Donkey Kong is not so much of a bad guy all of a sudden.
