from Toys R Us Summary: Denki Blocks is one of a lengthly list of games from Majesco that are unique, fun to play, and most importantly, affordable. Usually, GBA games produced by Majesco are about half the average price of a typical GBA game or even less.
To look at the box art, or even to make a judgement from the name of this game, it would be easy to assume that Denki Blocks is just one more Tetris clone, but I can swear to you that it is not. It is a refreshingly unique title that every puzzle gamer should have in their library.
In fact, it is so unique that I will be challenged to properly explain the gameplay mechanics in the Gameplay section below. But for now I can tell you this: This is a mind bending puzzle game that will have you addicted and frustrated at the same time.
Denki Blocks has several single player modes but can also support up to four players on the same GBA, as it is a turn based game. There are some timed playmodes, but Denki Blocks is not an action puzzler. You will have to think about your moves, and you can restart a puzzle at any time, as well as take back a move for most play modes.
Unlike many of Majesco's games which employ a password save system, Denki Blocks uses a battery save that is automatic. Up to three individually named running game scores can be saved, and the game awards trophys for each player as they progess in scoring as well. These can be viewed at any time.
Look around in the bargain bins at Toys R Us or other game sellers, and if you can find this title, by all means pick it up. You'll not be disappointed. Report this review >>
