Atlus Double Dragon Gameboy Advance Roleplaying Review

Atlus Double Dragon

Description
A global nuclear war has left the world in ruins. There are no laws, and no authority to enforce them. It is a world in which violence rules and only the strong survive. Amidst the chaos, gangs emerged as the new elite. Several gangs eventually joined together to form a larger organization known as the Shadow Warriors, which seized control of the city and now rules it with an iron fist. Double Dragon for the Game Boy Advance is an enhanced version of the game that features stages, modes, techniques and enemies not seen in the original arcade game.

Summary:
The folks at Atlus have done a great job in updating this classic brawler to the GameBoy Advance and have captured the look and feel of the original perfectly. They blended the best elements from the original Double Dragon for the NES and Super Double Dragon for the SNES (my favorite of the bunch) along with a few new levels and of course better graphics to come up with an awesome portable fighter. I love this game and haven't stopped playing it since I bought it three weeks ago. It's slightly harder than before as more enemies (and more agressive this time) fill the screen to gang up on you but the more you play it, the better you get and the more fun it becomes. You can get up to five lives and five continues and you're probably gonna need 'em... All in all, an excellent port of a true gaming classic.
