Nintendo Advance Wars Gameboy Advance Strategy Review

Nintendo Advance Wars

Description
A deep and complex game with cleverly designed graphics, Advance Wars shows that hand-held strategy is growing up fast on the Game Boy Advance. Even after you've waged multiple wars in the story-driven Campaign Mode, the extremely shrewd AI will continually surprise you. There is even a Strategy Room Mode to walk you though the basics of the game.

Summary:
I kept seeing this game in every store i went to look for games in and saw it at a low price so what did i do? I came to this site to see if it was any good. The site said it was. It was cheap. I needed more gba games. So i bought it. And was very thankfull i did. This is an especialy good game if your in to war games or strategy games. You basically take over cities to get money, build more units to fight or transport, defend your headquarters, and and either try to kill all opposing armies or take over their HQ. those are the two ways of winning (unless the game says otherwise [which is rare ]). And the really fun part is after every win you get ranked either a, b, c, or d. And depending on your rank you get so many coins, tokens, yen whatever you want to call them. And can buy maps to play against your friends with. the game is somewhat realistic. Good realistic qualities are that all vehicles can run out of gas or shots and have to resort to the machine gun (if they have one). some units can move further than others and other little things. The dumb part is a battleship can fire on a unit of imfantry, the worst uinit of all, and still have a guy or two left! But in the end its pretty fun and theres not a lot left to be said. MAKE SURE YOU DO THE FIELD TRAINING LEVELS FIRST.

Price Paid:  $25.00 from Game Stop

Summary:
This is an excellent strategy game that can clean your clock if you are not careful. If you are unsure of your strategy skills, the game will take you through a tutorial, where you can hone your skills. You can then go out on preset missions, or go through a stroyline, or for more fun, link up with a friend. Here you can really show who is the strategist.

Price Paid:  $30.00 from game

Summary:
This game is a turn based, stratagy, war sim. It is set in a modern(ish) day world where you are trained as a CO this is great because it is an easy and fun way to introduce the player to the controlls and basics of the quit complicated game. Much better than spending hours reading the instructions! After the basic training you are thrown in to a battle with your rival nation Blue Moon. As you progress new COs will join your team, each with their own stregths and weaknesses. This game is extreamly addictive and will keep you entertained for hours on end.

Summary:
After owning every console that has come out from Atari to Xbox to PS2 to Cube...NES to SNES to yadda yadda yadda I can honestly say that this is the funnest most addicting game I have ever played. Great tutorial, great challenging gameplay. Create your own map and mission trading. Over a hundred maps to battle on, this game is amazing I can't believe its on a GBA cartridge. I've played for 16 hours in just two days. Great fun, easy to pick up and play, but hard to master. Rewards you for good strategy, and smart warfare. WOW!

Overall a simple, but challenging game. As the cliche goes, easy to learn but difficult to master.
