Price Paid:  $30.00 from Pamida Discount Center in Atlantic, Iowa

Summary:
Put your homework away kiddies because this game will have you hooked! I got this game for my birthday in October 1996. I have loved it ever since. This game is really cool! The Gameplay is as if you were playing the Super NES Version. This game will have you sitting in front of your Game Boy for hours. Like Donkey Kong Land III, I recommend that you play this game on the Super Game Boy, to avoid minor blurring during some stages.

I think Nintendo attempted to create a replica of Donkey Kong Country 2 by naming the stages the same as the Super NES version, which is weird, but it fits. The Target at the end is a bit cruddy....No 1-up or even a bunch of bananas...just a hit the target and end stab. But that's all right.

You will need those 1-Up balloons, because this game ain't no cakewalk. It took me awhile to find all the Kremkoins, Bonus Areas, and DK Coins because I didn't have the Internet or strategy for this game. You will throw your Game Boy out the window when you play this game. It is hard you know...especially the cauldron and bramble stages. I think that this game is harder than the Super NES version. And that's impressive for a Game Boy Game.

The one thing, THE ONE THING, that I hate about this game, is that you can't use the team up move due to there is only either Diddy or Dixie Kong on the screen. You can't have them both on the screen (Maybe that was due to memory reasons). I hate how you can't do that.

I don't think you can find this game anywhere anymore except for used game stores like FuncoLand or Babbage's. Out of the three GB DK games, this one is the most rare. Luckilly I got it the day it came out. This game still prices for about $34.99 Used at FuncoLand. "Is the 35 dollars worth it" you ask? My response: Yes it is. I have played this game so much that I fell asleep at the controller (It was a late night haha). I recommend this game to anyone who has a Game Boy or who is a big fan of Donkey Kong. You know, Dixie Kong isn't that bad looking lol. I even named my cat (now 6 years old) Dixie Kong! I named her that due to the release of the Super NES version. She is my oldest cat of 6 cats.
