from EB Games Summary: Batman, a character recognizable by just about everyone. Whether it's the campy version from the Adam West television series or the dead series brooding Dark Knight of the comics, Batman has appealed to all of us in one way or another since his creation all the way back in 1939.
The avenging hero waging his obsessive war against crime inspired by the death of his parents has always been a vigilante, a normal human being who could somehow rub elbows with super heroes the caliber of Superman and the Green Lantern. Furthermore with his ingelligence and wit, one is always left to wonder if he could actually defeat them if he wanted to.
A character like this is a shoe in for an incredible video game? Well, unforunately he's been ill represented in the gaming world, all of the Batman titles are unfortunately mediocre at best. He's had movies, some good, some putrid. His afforementioned campy TV show, and his incredible animated cartoon series, but still he waits for a video game to really let his fans don the cape and cowl for themselves.
The cartoon series remains one of the highpoints of American cartoons. It was clean enough for kids and dark and cerebral enough for adults. Batman: The Rise of Sin Tzu is based on that animated series and it captures the look and feel quite well.
Does Sin Tsu break the Batman video game curse? Yes, and no. Report this review >>
