Description SEGA is on a roll! Hot on the heels of the runaway success of the original Super Monkey Ball, the ultimate party game is back. Jam-packed with 12 addictive Party Games, a new story mode and more than 150 stages, Super Monkey Ball 2 delivers the ultimate in addictive multiplayer action.
Summary: This game improves on every area of SMB1 except for the 1-player puzzle portion. In that area, there are hits and misses.
Definitely welcome are the increased number of modes, which allow you to attack certain stages from different angles - with or without continues, etc.
Unwelcome, however, are some of the punishingly difficult stages. I agree with a review I read in Game Informer - too often some of these extremely hard stages require only blind luck - which isn't a whole lot of fun.
On the big big plus side, many of the party games are super cool. Especially Monkey Baseball! Woo! SMB2 is a terrific party game or just a game for two players.
Overall, this is a more complete package than SMB1. For $30, it's a great game to pick up for kids, adults with limited time, or anyone who loves duking it out with silly but addictive party games. SMB2 is everything Mario Party 4 is not.
Summary: Overall, the game definitely worth the $55 that I paid. It is a great game for all ages, and it provids hours and hours of fun, especially with a friend or two. The single player game starts out fairly easy, but it can get very diffcult when it reaches to level seven and eight. I am stuck on 8 right now. It is very hard, and is trying my patients, but I think it makes sense to make the game progressively harder and harder. The game has a lot of puzzels which was a pleasant and welcomed surprise to me. To play with a friend, in my opinion, monkey fight, monkey race, monkey tennis, and monkey dogfight, stand out the most, but the rest of the games are great too. Overall, it is a terrific game, that is totally worth the money. It is has something for everyone, and I recommend it to everyone I know.

Summary: Let me just say when i got my Gamecube i thoughtit was because of Rouge Squadron.....turns out Super Monkey Ball made the purchase worthwhile.
Basically Super Monkey Ball 2 (and the original for that matter) for the unititiated is Marble madness with a cartoon moneky inside the marble. The object is to guide the Ball with the monkey inside it to through over a hundred mazes, each with its own set of challenges. You can choose from Four different characters, but other than the Baby moneky being easier to see around, the selection doesnt really matter. In addition to the main game, there are mini games of all kinds. Bowling, Golf, Fighting, Racing Boat racing, Soccer, Baseball, and Several others you can unlock by completeing mazes in the story mode. The mini games are fun, simple and are great for having a bunch of friends come over and play casually while downing some barley sodas. This game appeals to kids with its bright colors and vibrant backgrounds and cute characters, but the difficulty on some of the boards is very high. It can take a long time to beat some boards and takes some very patient playing. I suggest buying the hint book to help you out if you are easily frustrated.
Overall Super Monkey Ball is great entertainment, your girlfriend will play it, hell i even got my parents to play some levels! Its a lot of fun.
Summary: is your life stress free? Are you a passive person? Do people refer to you as being mild tempered? If so, then this game will change everything about these issues. The game will teach you 3 things: Stress, Frustration, and Anger. People might tell you that this game require skills, require fast thinking, but I urge you to slip-slide pass these falsified attributes! This game is NOT for casual gamers who believe in skills. this game is all about killing the little monkey in that hardshelled ball. If you wish for a bad day, then do yourself a favor, buy Monkey Ball 2.
Summary: This is a game with Monkeys in balls. My girlfriend refers to it as Monkey balls, and I figure that that in itself could make this game a good game. But, like anyone whose played Mister Mosquito says, stupid gimmicks do not always make great games.
What makes SM2 different from other balling rolling games is the fact that, the ball really has no control over it's motion, the player moves the world around the ball, which calls for quick thinking and a steady thumb. It's simple in strategy; get the monkey in a ball to the goal, but in between that, sloped areas, well-timed jumps and moving targets will hamper your progress and sometimes actually be more like a puzzle game then an adventure.
The game is fun and insanely cutesy, with 12 multi-player games, gifts, options, and actual rewards for playing the game. This game is made to last you a LONG time. So long and difficult in fact, that I don't really know if it's possible to EVER beat everything in the game.
An overall 5 for Sega's addictive game with a new story mode.
