Acclaim Burnout Gamecube Racing Review

Acclaim Burnout

Description
Burnout reinvents high-risk racing with the only high speed, high-energy, pulse-pounding arcade style street racer on Nintendo GameCube. Based on real-life crash dynamics, Burnout’s action will leave you sweating, short of breath and totally in shock. Hyperventilating is part of the fun.

Price Paid:  $20.00 from best buy

Summary:
Pulse pounding racing action and speedy gameplay makes this game is one of the best racing games ever, even though it probably dosent compare with BURNOUT 2 and 3 wich I have never played. Its got crashes, good graphics and everything else somebody would want in THE BEST RACING GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who think it sucks because of the other reviews, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM AT ALL!!!!!!!! I actually got it long after it was first released and it was the last copy. So, you probably wont be able to get it by the time you are done reading this review. Anyways, read it anyways and play this game at your friends. As the back of the box says, "hyperventilating is part of the fun". Anyways, on with the positive reinforcement.

Review NaN of 20
, from UK

Price Paid:  $50.00 from Game

Summary:
A stunning combination of insane speed, arcade handling and gorgeous graphics, Burnout 2 has one thing that so many racing games seem to forget: excitement. The addition of a boost bar, which builds up slowly as you perform increasingly skilful manoeuvres through oncoming traffic, creates a sense of tension followed by a feeling of exhiliration as you hit the boost for the first time. As your speed rapidly rises the music in turn gets louder as you fly around the course at a speed 'F-Zero X' would be proud of. Although the championship is poorly structured and the driving license is incredibly short, the variation of the circuits and the way they cleverly link up, will keep you coming back to single races just to experience the thrill of the fastest driving game ever.

Summary:
This is really fast racing! Forget lookin' up to see which lap your on or even what position your in, when you are going full nitro 150mph You barely have time to blink. I actually found myself pressing pause every now and then to get some "eyerest" I got this game along with two others when we bought our family cube, simply because i wanted a racegame and this was sitting on the shelf with the other like five titles that were availibe to the Gamecube back in the beginning.

Summary:
Forget any racing game you tried before, because Burnout is diferent than anything else, and much more adictive and fun! This is probably the best racing game ever. Just imagine you driving at high speed not in rally tracks, not in F-1 tracks, but in "street tracks" full of trafic. This game is fun, realistic and addictive, so if you like racing games, grab your copy today!
