Summary:
The original Extreme-G I found very enjoyable. Everyone and his proverbial mutt complained about the speed and the tight tracks, but I found it fairly simple . Then, there was the XG2
about a year and a bit later . It was good, though far inferiour to the original . Now, there's the latest installment on a brand new console . And, following the downwards spiral the series is taking, this one is far and away the weakest yet .

Summary:
I have always been a fan of futuristic racing games all of the way back to F-Zero on the SNES. Well many games have come and gone since then and up until now I would have to say that my favorite futuristic racer was Wipeout 3 on the Playstation. After reading many great reviews of this game and also finding it for twenty bucks, I thought I couldn't lose with this game. Turns out I was right. Great gameplay, graphics and style make this game an absolute joy to play. However this game may be a little to specialized for the casual gamer. Not that I mean that it is very difficult, just that this game will probably only really appeal to racing and sci-fi fans, but I could be wrong about that. Safe bet is to rent it before you buy, that is what I do before almost any purchase. This game just happens to be the exception.

Price Paid:  $49.00 from Sam Goody

Summary:
(B) This game is pretty good. It has adorable scenery, and the way weapons and bikes are layed out is far superior over the first two XGs. However, the tournament mode has changed from previous editions, and the way that you finish races is kinda unrealistic.
