Nintendo Paper Mario II Gamecube Roleplaying Review

Nintendo Paper Mario II

Description
Time passes, the pages turn...and a new chapter unfolds in an unfamiliar land! Get ready for a two-dimensional role-playing adventure for the ages as Mario returns to paper form in pursuit of a threat unlike any he's ever faced.

This time around, more emphasis is placed on the paper abilities of Mario and his friends. He can turn sideways to slip through cracks, fold into a paper airplane to fly, roll into a tube, and much more. He can also use tons of items like hammers and thunderbolts.

Summary:
This is a must buy game, even for non-mario fans, but you MUST like the turn based system. If you absolutely dispise Mario, but you like the Final Fantasy or turn based related game, try before you buy.Same thing for turn based haters, but Mario obbsessed. This is a classic gem, and you shouldn't miss out.If you adventure out in this game, you probably will be sucked in to the slick graphics, humor, and action turned into one.I played through it and absolutely love it.

Strengths:
Many of it's strengths are
-Graphics:Slick, very nice
-Humor:Very humorous
-Story:Crying or laughing, you are still havin' fun
-Action:Mario and friends are still full of action

Weaknesses:
Well, the game boring when playing for a long time.

Summary:
Its been awile since the last paper mario came out. That one was fun but it was on a dying console(still my favorite console). But this new one is truly a wonderful RPG.First thing I noticed about the game is how rich the colours are, truly great. Then I noticed the "paper" effects worked alot more smoothly on the cube then the 64.After playing the game for some time I was glad to see it was not going to be a one time rental,or a small game. The game is quite long with an original story. The combat is quite fun (considering I don't like turn based games). What makes the combat different is the timed button actions, which you can use to do more damage, hit more units, defend yourself, etc.Hats off to Nintendo for making another modern day masterpiece.
