, from Hampton, VASummary: The Mortal Kombat series has been one of the most popular fighting series on the market the past few years, since the inception of MK2 back in 1994. However, it was plain to see with MK3 and Ultimate MK3 that the series was heading downhill fast. Both games seemed rushed, uninspired, and flat out dull. After the release of the pointless MK Trilogy and the atrocious MK Mythologies, I am convinced that this is one series that should just be allowed to die. Nevertheless, Midway released Mortal Kombat 4 to the public, quenching its somewhat bewildering thirst for blood and fatalities. After playing MK4, I am further convinced that MK must be allowed to die and rot with all the other games that started off great, but tailed off at the end (can we say NHL FaceOff, anyone?). This game may prove to be a fun rental, but that would be about it. Report this review >>
