Summary:
A great game for Pokemon lovers, such as myself. Anyone who hates Pokemon will, obviously, hate this game as well. If you are one of these people, then why did you even bother to play the game and write a review? I'm sure you have "better" things to do in your time, so why waste it on a game based around something you dislike?
This game is rhater childish, but that is part of the magic of it. Anyone can play it, though it does take some strategy to get the high points for pictures. (I'm working still on getting the perfect, 10.000 point picture of Mew.)
You play as a Pokemon photographer, and create a book with the pictures of all the Pokemon that are in the game. You can also keep an album for all the sugoi, creepy, or crazy pictures that you like, but did not merit a high score.
A really sugoi option this game gives you is the ability for, a few dollars, to print out a few stickers of your favorite pictures! Needless to say, because of my otaku-ness, I have stickers everywhere. They also make kawaii presents for other Pokemon otaku you might know.

Summary:
Pokémon Snap is a all round favourite, you don't have to like pokémon to enjoy taking a few photographs to get some points. All you need to know to be good at this game is what a good photo is, and how to take one.
Nintendo proovide you with a zero-one engine to ride in, and lots of other props throughout the game. I don'teven like pokémon and I can't keep my eyes off this addictive neverending game!

Summary:
Hi, my name is )-( Rocky and I was once a robust fan of a money siphoning fad alias: Pokemon. First came Pokemon for Game Boy, then the trading cards, soon the comics and everything else that involved this overrated money-consuming name. I once fell in the abyss of addiction, when Pokemon craze basically took over America by storm. Pokemon Snap came in my possession under the illness of my former obsession and my first experience playing this uncanny marvel at my cousins’ house. I have to admit it was very intriguing and captivating beyond belief, at least my first few attempts playing anyway. Solely from my first appetizing experience, I decided to purchase the game for my own enjoyment and the fact that I was racking up points on my cousins’ cartridge where I could very well be accumulating in mine. Pokemon Snap at the time was already out for more than a year, so finding a copy did less strenuous for me. I got home and immediately started played with a titillating feeling of desire. For the first 30 minutes or so, the game was inevitably addicting; there were so many things to do, it’s difficult to plausibly try all of these features at once. Then I started to scrutinize the game more and more and realized my jubilant ways were only temporary. The game attempted to conceive various features but in the long run became quite repetitive and extremely tedious. I hated myself for buying this once appreciated cartridge in the first place, just like how I was suckered in purchasing the card games. This just shows how video game popularity can sometimes manipulate an individual and temporarily quench them with their gifts and tricks then leave them for dead.

Pokemon Snap had its moments but like I said it demonstrated temporary entertainment. I do appreciate the fact that it was innovative in its own little ways with game play that I don’t recall playing before. If you enjoy watching the television show and love those adorable little critters then this game will provide all the desires you want from Pikachu playing with surfboards to Charazards popping out of burning volcano holes. I obviously don’t have to mention players who seek serious plots(Vagrant Story or Metal Gear Solid 2)and complicated gaming(Final Fantasy Tactics)to omit from playing this, but then again it wouldn’t hurt to try. I for one was utterly disappointed at this ample attempt in creating yet another successful Nintendo game. Overall, the game played its role to its best extent and fell short of it. Okay job Nintendo.

Summary:
When I first saw this game a few years ago, I cynically thought that this was just a hurried product made by Nintendo, in attempts to milk their new found cashcow known to the masses as Pokemon. Now in 2001, I have had the opportunity to play this game in-depth, and much to my suprise Pokemon Snap is an amusing game that challenges one's creativity in producing the perfect shot of pokemon. I believe that many "gamers" cannot and will not be satisfied with a pokemon game that does not deal with battling and fainting and most likely oversimplify the game as, "You just take pictures". Even when describing the game to friends, their befuddled look told me that they could not see the fun in taking photos of pokemon.
I might argue that this game is an aquired taste. However, kids and young adults, perhaps even real grown-up adults can pick this game up with no problem. I believe kids will be enticed with simply taking pictures of pokemon, while older gamers would enjoy the aspect of taking the perfect photo. I highly recommend this game to anyone who doesn't believe that Tekken, NFL Blitz,Mortal Kombat, or NBA Jam are the best games ever made to man. To the more enlightened, Pokemon Snap is a quality game with tons of replayability.

Summary:
Im not a pokemon fan but I rented this game just to see what it was like.It only took me about 2 hours to beat the whole game and take a picture of all the pokemon. The graphics are good for a 64,the sound is ok,but the gameplay and replay value really is bad.The game is pointless.
