Price Paid:  $45.00 from game peddler

Summary:
It is a pretty fun game, the 4-player mode can be really fun, especially dumping garbage on people. it is also fun to clear lines to build wonders of the world with the lines you have cleared, such as the sphynx, mayan caracol, etc. But for some of the later wonders such as the japanese and russian, it takes so many lines to be able to build it. with each structure you build, you get a new tetris background to play on.(sometimes 2) The japanese and russian structures take so many lines to be able to build them, it will be a while till i do it. It is annoying it takes that long. very fun in that you can form gold and silver blocks from combining the shapes that fall down to get more points. Interesting ranking system which ranks you according to how many lines you clear divided by the time it took to do it.

Summary:
A great game, but crashes far too often. No other game I own crashes, let alone crashing often. Just recently a crash wiped out 2 years worth of stored lines and I find this to be completely unacceptable. My cartridge is 2 years old so newer versions out may have been revised, but I'm extremely disappointed in that any company would release a console game in this obviously beta condition. PC games are more understandable because you can patch them, but you can't patch a cartridge. I learned to tolerate the crashes, but this final crash that I had which wiped the cartridge's internal data was a crash that I do not accept as an acceptable bug. No bug should destroy the player's data, especially 2 years worth of accumulated lines.

Price Paid:  $30.00 from Funcoland Cherry Grove #745

Summary:
When a new system is released, it’s almost guaranteed that some sort of Tetris game will make an appearance. The Playstation has Tetris Plus, Dreamcast has The Next Tetris, and even the as-yet-unreleased Gamecube will have Tetris Worlds. No game today can match the sheer addictive quality that Tetris has, and that’s why it appeals to so many different gamers. I’ve even read letters from the elderly that express their love for Tetris. The game’s reach is seemingly boundless. I’ve played just about every version of Tetris available, and I have to say that the New Tetris on N64 is far and away the most fun to play.

It’s a shame that the N64 is at the end of its lifespan, since few will get to enjoy the goodness that is The New Tetris. As it turns out, not many people enjoyed it while it was in production. It’s quickly becoming one of the more sought after N64 titles, usually fetching around $40 a copy. If you do decide to throw down the cash, its money well spent. The gameplay enhancements and multiplayer make this game superb. As a matter of fact, this game has been inside my N64 for quite a while, except for when I’m playing Sin and Punishment…

I hope this review helps show gamers a fun game for the N64. I've had a blast with it, and I'd like others to have the same opportunity.

The bottom line: If you have an N64 and have no puzzle games, I strongly suggest picking this up. It’s great for parties, and the single player mode can entertain for hours on end. Stay away from Tetrisphere, though…

Summary:
To simply call tetris a computer game would be an offensive and very ill informed statement in my opinion. It is a religious and often a sexual experince for me. There are the occasional downsides to it such as the fact that it has made me devoid of and friends and I have to wear glasses 3 inches thick but I have found the positive sides far outweigh the negative.
