Summary:
No question: this is the best racing game that N64 ever had, 'coz not even RR64 can offer such a dose of reality.

, from Alberta

Price Paid:  $50.00 from Wal-Mart

Summary:
This is a very racing game which will require some skill and time to complete. You start at the bottom with rough cars and as you improve and win races the opportunity to jump to better teams and faster cars, is presented. Eventually you earn the right to win the championship of the GT-1 circuit but this is only the start. The victory allows you to graduate to the GT-2 circuit where the truly fast cars lurk. Also you begin to race many of the same tracks but with variations or in reverse direction. The computer racers are ruthless and they will do eveything they can to spin you into the wall. As you rise through the GT-2 circuit the races become intense and your concentration has to very high, any mistakes will cost you the race. There is an excellent replay mode, so you can sit back and watch your best races. The only drawback is that you have to save your replays onto a memory card and they will only hold one race per card. If there is one real problem it is the lack of license to use the real car names. Like all the cars are obviously based on real production cars, but have phoney names.

Review NaN of 18
, from London, UK

Summary:
When one certain game on one certain console set a new precedent for racing games, many attempts to outdo (or just cash in on) that game surely followed. World Driver Championship (WDC) is about the closest N64 owners will get. 10 locations with over 30 tracks. 10 teams with upgradable cars. 8 cars on the track at the same time. The usual time trials, single races and two player races, plus a lengthy single career mode which will unlock courses and faster cars for normal use. Best of all is the replay mode. Finish a race, then sit back and watch your efforts, and even save it to a controller pak. There is a very high learning curve and controls are tough to master, but with patience and perseverance those unruly cars will obey, and those beastly tracks can be tamed.

Summary:
The best racing game out there. Buy it, if you like the more realistc style racers. If you like the California Racer type games, rent it. Youre not as good a driver as you think.
