Summary:
Well its really addictive (like popcorn.even if there's a kind you don't like, you can't seem to stop eating it). A 2002 review for a '99 game is almost obsurd. Almost. Anyway, its very easy to play, and you can't seem to get away. The 1 player mode is OK, but its hard to make a pass sometimes, which is really aggrivating. You should have a friend to play with, as young as a 10 year old. The strategy is easy and cheesy, and a 10 year old is good enough to have a good time. Folks, its times like these we (for once) play the game and love it instead of taking advantage of it. You won't get tired of it.

Summary:
this is the best football game since tecmo super bowl came out a decade ago for the NES. no, it's not realistic, but it's more fun than a barrel of stoned monkeys. the *only* feature this game lacks is "create a player." sure, the players are on the wrong teams now that we're into the 2000 football season, but that's ok. season play is a blast, as is playing a human. very, very competitive, especially on the hard level. winning the super bowl with a team like the eagles or bengals is actually a challenge, and a fun one at that.
