Summary: Very good playing runs good .As a Gear pilot amidst a war to save Terra Nova, you must guide your Gear, and those of your teammates, through several missions ranging across several terrains, past various hazards, and even into the depths of space. Each mission presents a unique range of objectives leading towards the completion of the level and victory. The way in which those objectives must be obtained is, for the most part, up to your individual strategy and strengths. A plot unfolds piecemeal as a natural part of the pre-mission briefings, radio chatter during the missions, and post-mission debriefings. In addition, Heavy Gear II provides a series of historical missions whose story lines flesh out the fictional background of the Heavy Gear II universe.
Summary: This game was ok. I like the plot line and how the game makes you go about the game trying to clear you name. I love how in the end of the story the one person that your ship mates hate has to depend on the help the surive. Overall I think it was a good game and was fun to play. I do wish that could have been a few more missions though.
Summary: Heavy Gear is AWESOME! It has a few bugs, which are fixed by the patch, for all you complainers out there, but they don't kill the game. The game is set in a rich universe, provided by Dream Pod 9, which I feel, kicks the crap out of Fasa's Battletech (what Mechwarrior 2 was based on). For all you jerks that say Heavy Gear is just a Mech 2 clone, READ THE BOX! A CLONE CANNOT BE MADE BY THE COMPANY THAT PRODUCED THE PARENT GAME! Don't get me wrong, I loved Mech 2. I enjoyed Heavy Gear much more though. The graphics are great for a game of it's time (1997) and the gameplay is fun. The sound blew me away and the cut scenes were excellent. Oh, and if you think the requirements are steep, trust me, it's all worth it. I know it's old and I'm a couple years late, but you ever hear of the expression "Oldie but goodie"? That's all I have to say.

Summary: The game is good but could be better. More thought needs to be put into the tactics of the computer players, more originality and interest in the weapons and mechs, more choice etc. And alot more work to be down on the technical side of it. A good way to describe Heavy Gear would be to call it a good start.
Summary: This game is soo cool. I bought it at my grandparents at Christmas thinking it wouldn't be to great but I had to but something..So I got the game and I waited until I got home from Christmas(My Grandparents like in the middle of PA with me down in Maryland). I must have read the manual 50 times while I was up there. When I finally got home I set the game up and was to say the least amazed. This was the best game I had ever played! And I have played alot of games. To say the least get this game it rocks!!!
