from Ebay Auction Summary: When I found out about this game, I was no stranger to its type. I had played both Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders(full version) and Heretic II. I had also played Hexen, awaiting the Mission Pack: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel and Hexen II. I was pleased with all.
Hexen II turned out to be more like Hexen (rather than Heretic, more of a shooter): kill the angry two-headed thing with the mace, THEN pick up the key, or vice versa. Also, you get to chose your class of fighter. Whether you like to kill from afar, up close, or both, there is a character for you. Each character has his (or her in Hexen II) disadvantages and advantages. There is no omnipotent, almighty class, unless you cheat and activate God mode (cheater...). In this game, you can choose from a Crusader, a Paladin, a Necromacer, an Assassin, or a Demoness.
A mix of puzzle and fight, this game is a good choice if you like a challange, or wish to finish the Hexen/Heretic series. Report this review >>
