Summary: I love this game alot. I just bought my new PC. I used to play it on an old junkie 166 MHz, 160mb RAM, 4mb VRAM. It was stupid. Now, i got my new pc and OMGGGG!!!!! It is the best! Graphics are alot better now that i have 128mb NVIDIA!
Summary: This is an awsome game, lo wang is not only funnier but much wittier than the Duke ever was. This guy packs a punch, his weapons are cool, his style is cool and his comments are funny as hell. I enjoyed this game to the fullest. The only problem I had was the random half naked chics, only because they were poorly made and out of place. But other than that, this game rocked.

Summary: It has been out for a LONG LONG LONG time, but Shadow Warrior still ranks as one of my favorites. I often break it out and give it another whirl just to have a good groove-fest.
Shadow Warrior is the last of the 2d sprite-based FPS games, the final blow from 2d technology in the days when 3d polygon games were starting to take off. In addition, it was a rehash of Duke Nukem with a more Asian flavor.
You play as Lo Wang, the trash-talking ninja who is more into high explosives than stelth. You were a cleaner/enforcer for Zilla, the leader of Zilla Enterprises, until you learned that Zilla was making deals with the forces of darkness in a try for world domination. You quit rather than be associated with that...but someone as powerful as you can not be let go so easily. Zilla has sent a horde of demon warriors to kill you, and now you must carve your way through them to avenge your honor and save the world.
The story is typical for a Hong Kong martial arts action thriller. And Lo Wang himself is a noble try to recreate the popular Duke Nukem style of sneering trash-talk. Myself, I never cared for Duke Nukem's little one-liners. I was not playing that game for the dialogue, and the same goes for Shadow Warrior.
This is fortunate because the dialogue is nothing to write home about, unless you want to shock your poor sainted mother. It consists of mostly potty humor and thinly veiled (when veiled at all) sexual innuendo. After all, what do you think the name "Lo Wang" is a reference to?
Others have complained, with some justification, that Shadow Warrior is an offensive stereotype of Asians and Asian culture (Japanese and Chinese, mainly). It is an understandable point of view. Even ignoring the violence and sex (as well as the violent sex), Lo Wang himself is a rather barbaric pig who cracks lewd every chance he gets and who speaks broken English with an attrocious accent.
In truth, among many other things, this game is *meant* to be a massive showcase of stereotypes, in-jokes, and references to Hong Kong cinema. If it is offensive and dumb, it is because the popular culture it lampoons is offensive and dumb. The game is still amazingly fun to play despite that.
Summary: Shadow Warrior is a good computer game. It is a comedy and an adventure. It provides you with an extensive range of weapons and interactivity. I felt very satisfied when I finished it.
This is an almost exact follow up to the surprisingly smash hit of Duke Nukem 3D. It's the same thing in almost all perspectives, gore, violence, language, girls, disses, blood, insults etc... If you liked or even LOVED Duke Nukem, I suggest you take a look at my review to see if this is an ADOPTED SON of Duke, or another wanna-be FPS. Hmmm.
