Summary:
I enjoyed this Splat-Pack as much as the original program. I believe the game is a bit slower than the original. I also had several technical problems running the program. To be exact, the game will end itself too frequently. This problem is still rearing it's ugly head. Any help in fixing this would be appreciated.

Summary:
For those of you who didn't get enough of the original Carmageddon tracks, Interplay has created the Splat Pack. With new cars to drive,
new cars to compete against, new pedestrians to maim, and new tracks and environments to drive on, the Splat Pack gives more
opportunities of carnage to those Carmageddon fans who didn't get enough from the first one.The two cars the players can start with are improved versions of their originals and they look and perform different. Several of the original
enemies are back in new and improved cars, as well as all new enemy racers, all to make your life difficult... or give you a target,
however you want to look at it. The AI of the enemies don't seem to be that much smarter than the original, however they do seem to keep
you in a car pile up longer than before. There are a few new pedestrians to maim including some American cops and sheep. (Yes, sheep.)But what would an add on be without new tracks? Splat Pack adds 20 new tracks and 9 environments. While the original game had crazy
routes through semi-sane environments, Splat Pack has crazy routes through insane environments. You'll race on terrain such as: a Mayan
temple, the jagged mountain sides in Europe, an industrial site in the snow (complete with frozen big foots), a medieval castle, a prison,
and the weirdest one: a strange mythical land straight out of a 3D animation video or a drug trip. The tracks themselves are more difficult
than the original; they basically continue in difficulty where the original left off. If you aren't a careful driver, you can careen off the track,
fall hundreds of feet, and find it very difficult to get back on track. In some cases, it's downright deadly and you'll be forced to pay to
"recover" your car. I don't know if it was my imagination, but the Splat Pack seemed to run a little slower than the original. It could be that the environments
are more detailed or complex than the original.Interplay could have made this "Carmageddon 2" and sold it as a stand alone game, but they wisely sold it as an add on. I'd recommend it
to those who just need a little more Carmageddon, as it almost doubles the life of your original purchase at half the cost.
