Review NaN of 33
, from The Great State of Washinton!

Price Paid:  $8.00 from Ebay

Summary:
When the game starts you are in front of Atrus the creator of the Linking Book Riven. He explains to you that you are choosen to link to Riven to save his wife who is being held prisoner by his father. You mission is to go to Riven Capture his father and release Catheren. You must let RIVEN become your world - before an entire world is lost! What a great plot! Every part of Riven is more spectacular than the last. I loved this game and can't wait to start EXILE next!! I love adventure games because you use your mind to solve puzzles and benifit the game world by using mathamatical skills and logic. A lot of the games that are out (action, RPGs, etc.) on the market involve do more damage than good. I hope to see this trend end soon because were are suffering the effects of our carelessness in real life not just the artifical life (computers). Everyday on the news you see storys of our detererating ecosystem (ozone, ocean, rainforest, air, wild life) we need to do some thing (recycle, use less plastics, use more biodegradable materials, etc.). I don't want to sound like I am preaching, but some if I doesn't say something who will. You can! Stop violence, except god (Jesus, Budda), meditate, and you will find the correct answers. Anyway back to Riven, the storyline is very hopeful for all games. I would like to thank the creators!

Review NaN of 33
, from Lompoc, CA

Summary:
The very beginning where Atrus is talking is kind of weak. There are other very good actors in the game which makes it like a movie. The little puzzles to solve were very confusing and I had the puzzle solved, but couldn't realize it. Most of the action happens at the end, which kind of made it not as fun as the first game.

Review NaN of 33
, from ca

Price Paid:  $10.00

Summary:
Riven is not as interesting a puzzle as Myst, and it was not easier, it was just more boring. The graphics and the complexity of the game are amazing and evidence of hours upon hours of detailed work and trouble-shooting. I just don't care about the characters at all and so the endless story details are just a nuiscence. I lost the game through irritation of the boring story. In the case of the diaries, less is more. Still, I'm looking forward to Exile.

Summary:
Ok- I have noticed that people worship the ground cyan walks on. Although I love Riven, I found it intensely easier than MYST, however, I was much younger when I played MYST, and it was my first adventure game such as this. The puzzles did seem to be less ambiguas (sp) than that of Riven, as the story is far better developed with two novels backing it up.
