Summary: 'Round these parts, there's this legend... Of a graphical adventure game that just wouldn't quit entertainin' the masses. Featuring the meanest, toughest, hard-riding'est biker of 'em all -Ben Whatsisname. A real role model of our time. There was this time Adrian Ripburger -a real murdourous suit wearin' executive-type sonuvabitch- tried takin’ over ol’ Corely moters –The last company willing to make 100 per-cent US of A crotch rockets- by killin’ old man Corley, and tried framin’ Ben and his biker gang, the Polecats, in the process. ‘Course ol’ Ben wouldn’t stand for it, even if he was tossed unconscious into a dumpster without his keys, and set off on the toughest adventure his mean as nails biker self ever had.
“This is really like a religious pilgrimage for me. A religious pilgrimage with a lot of butt-kicking.” -Ben
Summary: Full Throttle was the most enjoyable game I have played till this day (22/05/2002). There is no way to explain how anxious I am to get my hands on the sequel in 2003.
Summary: Why dont we all send a petition to Lucasarts asking them to produce Full Throttle 2? I think that Full Throttle is the best game ever.Ben Whatisname is like my idol now and I love to use one liners like he does. The game was excellent.Lucasarts please make a sequel!!!!!
Summary: "Full Throttle" takes a special place in the long line of Lucasarts' masterpieces. This adventure has much more action sequences and cut-scenes than the other games, its development is smoother and more natural, its dialogues are more economical, its humor is rougher and more direct, and its puzzles are much easier. Lucasarts tried to make a game for "tough guys", who ,may think their other games were just for sissies. Anyway, they succeded to produce a wonderful, breath-taking adventure, that satisfies everybody. This game is serious yet very entertaining, full of life and suspence. Bravo!
Summary: The year is 1995. Lucasarts are making a new adventure game, and people hope it is the next Monkey Island sequel. But, they churn out a game about Bikies. This game is cool. Full Throttle is just full of atmosphere. At the beginning, there is a conversation between Malcom Corley, the owner of the last motorcycle making company, and his advisor, Adrian Ripburger. Ripburger is a bad bad guy who wants to take over Corley Motors. But in the conversation, they are talking about an escort of Bikies. At that time, a group of Bikies known as the Polecats drive over his Limo. This game is obviously set sometime in the future as the limo is a hovercraft. The Bikies ride on and some good ol' bikie music from The Gone Jackals and you get the intro credits and some motorcycle riding which is surprisingly good. Then, in the bar, you see a fat bald guy serving drinks. Bikies smoking, drinking and arm wrestling each other aswell. It is just so well done.
Lasting Appeal (3/5) This is the games biggest downside, the game is just way to short. It can be finished in just a week. The puzzles are not challenging enough to keep you stuck on anything for too long. It seems over as soon as it starts. This is a real shame, as it is such a good game. Replay value isn't bad, I am currently replaying this for the 4th time.
Plot (5/5) Amazing, simply amazing. What? not enough detail? Oh, fine. The plot is about a group of Bikies being requested to escort Malcom Corely to the share holders meeting. Mr Ripburger and his two thugs want to kill Malcom Corely and make it look like the Bikies did it. Then to keep Ben out of it, they tampered with his bike making it crash out on the road. Ben has to get even with Ripburger.
Good Points - Funny game. - It's Adventure time from Lucasarts! - Excellent music, voice and sound effects - Detailed graphics - One great plot this game has.
Bad Points - Too short
Overall 4/5 Lucasarts really know adventure games, and if you enjoyed the Monkey Island series, and the other games they have made, this game is a classic you must give a go at. It is amazing, if a little short.
