Summary:
I liked the concepts of a parallel universe and being able to travel back and forth through them. I was only 12 when I first played this game, so I think anybody above that age could get through it pretty easily. Sometimes it would take a long time to figure out how to get through certain puzzles, but you get a feeling of accomplishment when you finally figure it out. The game starts out easy, then gets difficult, then gets a little easier towards the end. I agree with other reviewers, the Birdman is creepy, and so is the legless girl. It's scary to play at night time, especially with the horror-movie like music and dark settings.

Summary:
Missed this great game when it first came out, but got it on Ebay. One of the best adventure/puzzle games I've played. Am still playing it right now. Loaded with puzzles, great ambiance. The bat ride to the temple is pretty cool, the animation and graphics are neat effects. Reminds me of what Zork could have been had it had been a graphic game instead of a text adventure.

Summary:
This is a top notch adventure game even by today's standards. I saw one review stating that some of the puzzles are confusing and that makes it a fair game. Well don't believe it. These puzzles make sense if you are patient enough to look for the solutions. The review also stated that you didn't get a good sense of character towards any of the people. When you start the game in your home look in adesk drawar and find the journal. Reading this will fix the character problem. What you then get is a fascinating and excellent adventure that will scare you at the right moments. I wouldn't recommend it to a hardcore action fan or anyone who doesnt want to slow down to solve the puzzles but that wasn't the audience this game was intended for.

Summary:
No matter what anybody says, I liked this game. I thought all the different forms of transportation were really cool. Even after I beat it, I went back to try out some of the ways to die. My goal now is to stay in the volcano until it explodes, but this is really boring. An hour is a long time. I had more than my fair share of technical problems, though. Not only did it shut itself off randomly two or three times in a session, but I actually lost the crystal bottle. Anyone who has played Lighthouse knows how important that bottle is. It was the wierdest thing. I tried to assemble the gun, and the bottle wasn't there. It even left a big empty hole in my inventory! Oh well, after playing Shivers and Shivers II, Lighthouse was a nice, non-depressing game. The Birdman kinda creeped me out though; he was scary!

Summary:
Dont waste your time on this game. It is not worth the time it takes to solve all the puzzles. Even when you are able to finish it, you are left feeling somehow cheated out of your time spent. I refuse to spend a lot of my time right now explaining why I didn't like the game simply because it wasn't worth it.
