Summary:
I LOVE THIS GAME!!! Since playing it I compare every space sim to this. No other space sim games out there give you the freedom that you get from Privateer 2. I played this thing for the first time back around 96 or so, back when pentiums were pretty new. I played it on a Pentium 120Mhz with 16MB RAM and a 1GB HDD, and it played great! I am always telling people about it, and looking for the next Space sim that might actually come clost to being like it.

Summary:
If not the best one of the best games I ever played, involving story, grait graphics, incredible sound. lots of ships, weapons, characters.
The best Space Sim ever.
I´m sorry Origin cancelled Privateer 3 and Privateer Online would have been great.

I can´t make it run properly on my P4, the game runs too fast (I originally played it on a P 200). If anyone has any info, email me Turmoil23@fibertel.com.ar

Summary:
Well... I think this game is at least greater than I could expect. The in-space engine is very good, so we can really enjoy pursuing a pirate!!!! Hehe!... Burned... and the comments by something like a 'space-radio' are very intersting. The interface can be difficult for your 10 years old sister, but not for you, isn't? Know how to use your manual for that secret buttons like the 'p' when in a planet! I wasted hours to discover this... don't laugh!!! :)

Price Paid:  $25.00 from Media Play

Summary:
For me, having played Privateer didn't help much when I started playing Priv. 2. Every aspect of the game was different, storyline, people, graphics, and so on. What I liked about the game was that it contained nice little movie clips like Privateer, but with real people.
I tested the game on two computers, a Pentium 2 laptop and a Alienware top-of-the-line Desktop.
On the laptop, there were many little glitches here and there that froze my computer out in space. Other than that there was no problem.
On the desktop, everything was very smooth, and the movies did not contain those annoying horizontal lines.

This game has improved a quantum deal from the previous game. 2D to 3D, amazing graphics, details, and sound. If they lept so much from the first to the next, then I wonder how great the 3rd is going to be.

Origin I have found has the best tech support around. You are in good hand if you buy this game.

Summary:
In the big world of space fighting simulation games, what you will usually get is a mission-to-mission kind of gameplay. Well, Privateer 2 is diverging from all of that!
