Summary:
This has to be one of the best all time flight sims.
Which has been offered a new release on life with The new Promised Land patch and Western Front Patch going Gold for Single Play. It looks like a whole new game!
Also the new Glidos Glide wrapper enables all video cards to see the really smooth glide graphics!

Summary:
I'm going to have to side with Mike Spencer (above) on this one. The 2D version of the game is no doubt a piece of junk, it had way too many bugs in the MMP version of the game and the graphics left you wishing for more. BUT!!!! Dynamix came up with patch 1.078 available on this site in fact for the nominal price of FREE. This takes the game to a whole new level. Especially if you have a voodoo/glide based accelerator card. YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES. One of the best things about the game is it's great following, it's Red Baron community. Want to learn more? Check us out, www.gadrome.com
Mind you my overall rating here is for the 2D version of the game. Once you do the patch or buy the 3D version of the game I rate this game off the chart.

Summary:
I think this game is one of, if not the best dogfighting games I've ever played.I must have played it for over 200hrs.,yet I still start it up just to earn a new medal, or to kill a few germans. One of my favorite things to do is to fly around and kill little german infantry men with a bomb or two. What I really like is the realism options.If your not a real strategy enthusiast or you just want to fly around and not worry about some medal pinned Richtofen creeping up behind you can make it to where your invincible or close to it.Another top notch feature is the incredibly realistic crashes and damages. Like if you aim for the head of an observer then you actually kill him, and only him.Or you can aim for the engine and make those poor souls come spinning to earth in a firey ball of canvas and flesh.My opinion, if you got 20 or so dollars, go out and by this excellent game.

Summary:
Red Baron 2 was a big disappointment. Several other games notably
the gold edition of US Navy Flyers show how to make the sequel better than the original. As for me I will continue to play the classic Red Baron (1) and use the disk as a coaster for my coffee.This was a total rip-off. Do not buy this game or even take it for free. You would do much better with the original even though it is dated as it is now bumping on 10 years old.Flying Corps Gold literally runs rings around Red Baron 2 - buy it - it is what the sequel to Red Baron should have been but alas was not. Manfred Reichtoven is probably turning over in his grave at the thought of Red Baron 2.

Summary:
I THOUGHT THIS GAME WAS KINDA COOL BUT IT GETS OLD QUICK. ITS GOT GOOD MISSIONS LIKE STRAFING INFANTRY. BUT THE GAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER 3d EXELERATED AND THE GAME COULD HAVE BEEN PUT TOGETHER BETTER. ALSO I THINK THE FIRST ONE WAS ACTUALY PUT TOGETHER BETTER BECAUSE IT KINDA HAD A STORY LINE GOING. BUT I LIKE THE MORE PLANES AND MULTIPLAYER.
