Summary:
You've probably read all the other summaries of the games, so I won't bore you with all those details AGAIN. I haven't played the single-player missions past mission one, because I got REALLY hooked on multiplayer, hence I'll focus on that.

MULTIPLAYER:
In general, this is the only REALLY comprehensive strategy game, because here, strategy actually counts for something over speed / how fast you acumulate resources.

Summary:
Very, Very good, with a little work, a plain old TA game can be converted to a gold mine of 3rd party units. Make sure you have enough harddisk space though!!!

Summary:
Hey, hey, hey...long after new games have come and gone...such games that are worshipped until they are squeezed dry, do I then return to good old Total Annihilation. The game that never runs dry, but remains fertile and fresh, with still more options and strategic decisions ready to be made on how to defeat the latest enemy. Still so much more does this game give, on cold nights when the new games are old and dead on the shelf and the mind requires an interesting bit of action in the shape of metal men.

Price Paid:  $30.00 from Wal mart

Summary:
The best RTS ever made. Ulimited types of units. It can be download from the Internet or you can create your own. There are tools and to download that exlpains and help you build your own units. You can also create your own maps. The maps can be huge, allowing long hours of battle.

, from Culemborg, Netherlands

Price Paid:  $30.00 from local store

Summary:
This is without a doubt the best game I have ever played and I have played alot and reviewed many games for dutch magazines too and still I keep myself getting back to this game.
Some simple facts:

it uses sea, land and air units
It uses 3D terrain
it has 3D units without giving up the overview of the game.
150 units for each side.
a skirmish battle option.
3rd party units, maps and AI can be downloaded from the internet.
Specialized units like sea to sea, air to air, air to ground, etc.
Massive maps for multiplayer gaming. 64MB maps made by Cavedog 128 MB maps seen on the internet.
Maps will become a battle field of pure mayhem. Massive battles are possible due to a 500 unit limit on a map.
8 players can play on the same map.
the possiblity to team up with someone during the game.

I have this game since day 1 with both Core Contingency and Battle Tactics add-on. When you buy Total Annihilation due atleast get Core Contingency because that is one worthy add-on to get also. Since the beginning I kept playing this game and I have spend very much time playing it. Why? Simple because it's balanced has a revolutionary gameplay, great sounds and it still looks stunning.
