, from Leicester, England

Price Paid:  $45.00 from Game Ltd.

Summary:
I can still remember the day that I bought this game; it was just after the 1998 World Cup, I had gotten my first-ever pay cheque and felt like spending some of it on a game. God alone knows why I ultimately chose this one, I've been playing games for long enough now to realise that the blurb on the back of the box is probably a gross exaggeration. And so it proved to be. This is not a WW2 game of special ops and strategy, it is a puzzle game disguised beneath very nice graphics and a decent enough concept. Not bad, but equally not the sort of thing I'd recommend for people looking for strategy game.

Summary:

Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a fine game that has seemingly flawless gameplay. I had a lot of fun with it and found it to be a refreshing break from the other types of games. This is a game that requires some strategic thought, patience, and perserverance.

, from the Netherlands

Price Paid:  $45.00 from unknown

Summary:
Excellent game. I have been playing this for many hours and it was great. However, now I have a faster PC (AMD Athlon 1,3 Ghz) which ended the fun.

I liked the following features:
-real nice scenario's
-good graphics
-responses from the characters
-every mission is done with a different selection
-you need to observe before you play: think!
-timing is essential
-guards speaking german
-different characters have great capabilities (like the sniper gun and the spy wearing german uniforms)

What could be better:
-the characters have a voice and capabilities, but the walk and run at the same speed. That's not logical
-moving of vehciles is stupid, they get stuck too often (so you have to move back and forward)

It's a bit old already but still woth playing! (how to slow down my fast PC??)

, from pakistan

Summary:
Well first of all i want make it clear that this is not ur conventional RTS. There is no resource building or building construction as in AOE2 and neither does it have out and out war as in red alert. But its different infact its very different. I would put it as a squad based RTS game(which is highly addictive as well).the interesting factor about the game is that even though at times u feel as if u want to send the cd in the microwave for lunch but its so addictive that ur forced to load ur mission again.

Set on the backdrop of WWII u have sqaud of commandos under ur command each skilled in some special skill for eg the sapper can use grenades ,time bombs etc....U r given differnt objectives ,mostly about blowing this installment or that building.

The most important thing about this game is its fun factor which is the core of any game.I think i havent had as much fun playing any other game as i've had playing commandos for a long time.also its innovative concept makes it even better.
one of the criticisms regarding this game was that it was too diffucult.i think this diffuculty in a way makes this game more challenging and infact is a plus point for this game.

Price Paid:  $45.00 from Electronics Boutique

Summary:
The original Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a great game, packing exciting, challenging missions, with some beautifully designed maps. The characters are interesting and each have their own weapons, supplies, and abilities.
