Summary:
It is really incredible how it still seems to be a great game even after so many years. The best thing about the game is the randomness of it and the brilliant AI. Having played the game so many times, i can usually beat the AI easily even at deity level (highest level of difficulty) though at times i still get beaten really bad. And other times i just enjoy playing at the easiest level and keep building a stronger and stronger civilization.

Summary:
The game itself is addicting. The graphics may not be top quality but the effort and tactics needed to conquer the world are worth the game. I often find myself drawn to my computer for hours even days before I realize I need to see the outside. Its always one more city to conquer or another wonder to build, what ever the reason I recommend this as the greatest of stragedy games.

Summary:
This is one of the best strategy games I've came across. Start your empire, build cities, armies, industrial, science, etc...conquer rival people, make treaties, trade, etc. It covers pretty much everything. As for the graphics and all...you're not buying it for that. You buy it for gameplay. Sound, not for that either. Gameplay is excellent and will keep you playing it over and over.

Summary:
The best game ever! If you are a strategy fanatic that's your game.
I've been playing this game for over 4 years and I'm not tired of it yet. From time to time I keep reaching in the bottom of my closet to find the CD and play again!
If there's a game that worths every penny you've spent for it, that's Civilization II. (don't mix it up with Civ2-Call to Power, this game sucks, be aware!)

Summary:
What can I say, it's an epic!!! You start with one little settler and have to try to conquer th world, or build a ship and fly to who knows where. There is so much strategy involved it can get really overwhelming at first, but after a while you realize the best thing is a good harmony between military and economy will usually work out best.
