Summary:
This is a great game if you have a older system that still runs Win98 or older. I just can't get it to run on WinXP which sucks cause I miss playing the game. Its definately a classic game. Too bad they won't update it with slightly better graphics and make it to run with WinXP. Just don't change anything else in the game.

Summary:
This is one of the greatest games I've ever played. The other day I tried it again on my 1300 mhz pc and noticed that scrolling goes too fast as well as the speed of time passing, but its still possible to play it.
When the game came out the turn-based combat with amazing realism was completely unique (explosions, bushes on fire, aliens screaming in the darkness, ability to demolish literally any obstacle on the terrain). The interface is excellent, and there's a good balance of strategy (base building, tech.research, shooting down UFOs, manufacturing items for soldiers/planes)and RPG elements - your soldiers increase in various skills as they become hardened in the field.

Price Paid:  $5.00 from Retail shop years ago

Summary:
All time greatest game.

When I first played the demo at the age of 14 I loved it. I was heart broken when my parents wouldn't buy it for me when it cost $50+ (In Australia every thing cost more). But when I was 16 I found it in a under $10 box and bought it. One of the if not best games ever.

Summary:
The only time I hog my child's 386DX hand me down computer is to play this game. And I still play it today after so many years.
Incidently there was an English TV series in the Late 60's bearing the same name. UFO : Enemy Unknown. Its only in North America the game was called X-com. Yes the game is based on that TV series, most aren't old enough to remember.

Price Paid:  $10.00 from a store

Summary:
This game is the best turn style game play I have every seen. Impressive for its time this game gives you the "Full Monty". With its fun action and power full pull to play forever X-com UFO defense is by far the most fun I have had for years. Take on the aliens and upgrade you technology, sounds just like any other game right; its not. to even come close to its long lasting fun, you would have to take command & concur, war craft 2, and age of empires to even come close to X-com's originality.
