Description Beginning with Dark Forces and then again with Jedi Knight, LucasArts has a long-established heritage in the first-person action genre. In Star Wars Jedi Outcast, LucasArts continues to build upon this storied legacy. Developed in conjunction with Raven Software – makers of Soldier Of Fortune and based upon a modified Quake III engine - Jedi Outcast promises gaming depth in both single and multiplayer modes. Seek the destiny, and combat the enemies, of returning ex-Jedi Kyle Katarn. Play through combat scenarios armed with a full arsenal of weapons, including Kyle’s lightsaber and blaster – but will you dare use the Force?
Summary: This is the best Star Wars game I have played. Except for a few missteps with level design and puzzles, this game is very engrossing. The main story is about a jedi who has to rediscover his powers in order to deal with a dark jedi who is trying to take over the galaxy (I think). It's a rather cliche tale, but one that works well in the Star Wars universe created in this game.
Overall, this game is a very good buy. It's engrossing, stable, and straightforward regarding controls. Some people will be put off by some of the more tedious find-the-switch-door-passage-key-jump sequences which are generously sprinkled throughout the game. However, if you can get pass these annoyances, Jedi Outcast is a real treat for Star Wars fans and others alike.
Summary: Kyle Katarn, a former jedi knight who has lost his connection with the force, is now a new republic mercinary who in tyhe begining of the game, is sent to the planet kejim to investigate an imperial outpost. You go in and neutralize the area which sends you to the next series of levels, which is when jan ors, (kyle Katarns trusted sidekick), is murdered when a dark jedi named desann kills her. That drives kyle into a stage of fury, and regains the power of the force at tyhe valley of the jedi. Due to the fact that the galactic empire has been crippled by the new republic, they resort to desperate tactics. The remnant invades the valley of the jedi, and infuses the power of the force into living subjects. I'm not going to say anymore, just to keep the surprise, but if you have'nt already, I strongly sugest you get this game.
Summary: I love this game, it is intense. I love chopping down Storm Troopers, battling Dark Jedi, and basically, kicking a lot of butt. Authentic saber battles, you feel like you are in the movies man.
Summary: I was looking for a new single-player adventure to conquer, and Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast filled this void nicely. Nothing spectacular, or revolutionary, but a lark non the less. Single player was mediocre and Multiplayer has its moments, but I couldn’t be bothered playing it, as the learning curve of n00bs is too steep. In a nutshell, a few aspects hold it back from greatness, you'll play it, and forget about it a month later.
