Price Paid:  $20.00 from Best Buys

Summary:
Basically this was a game that could have been very good, but it ended up being a muddled jumbo of illogical puzzles and totally unsatifying ending. There are few clues to the puzzles, and some where downright stupid. For example you need to arrange symbols to lower a bridge. You get a clue/riddle for each symbol as to their order. If you do it correctly according to the clues it lowers the bridge half way??? We had to brute force the rest of the solution. Other puzzles were obscure requiring you to turn a symbol to a position that was "locked" that you passed through and walk through again. We almost never use a walkthrough for any games we've played (Myst, Riven, Black Dahlia, Monkey Island, Lighthouse, etc), but this game requires it as the frustration can reach monumental levels. Would not recommend this game to my worst enemy. The programs must have been on something during parts of the development.

, from Morgantown, WV

Price Paid:  $12.00 from Wal-Mart

Summary:
Beyond Atlantis is a click and point adventure game. These puzzle games are my favorites (hate to have to defend myself every three seconds from things...seems too mindless and all I feel I do is shoot, shoot, shoot). Unlike Myst, which bored me silly, this game at least has character interaction. You play Ten, the bearer of the light, who embarks on an empic adventure through space and time to battle the dark and set all to rights. Not a bad way to start the day.

If you liked games like Black Dahlia (great one), Dracula (the 2nd one is better), and the Cameron files (loch ness and soon, Pharoe's Curse) then you'll like Beyond Atlantis as well.

Summary:
The overall summary, is this: you have to say while it still could have been better it was entertaining enough to keep your attention and it's pretty fun.
A few of the puzzles, I found it quite necessary to cheat a bit, for the most part you can figure them out. Women should love this story so often in gameplay and in real life the women never play a key role and in this case the lead role is a women.
