Summary:
This game is kick ass. At first it did not seem like there was much strategy to it I mean it was just shooting missles, and you really don't have enough time to fully manuver your fleet into a battle line. But once you get into the 3 and 4 star battles you begin to learn how to utilized scouting, conserve resources, and minimize casualtys then it all changes. Then you are forced to save your SAM to protect your fleet from enemy attacks, And you must restrain from firing Harpoons until you have enough ships assembled in range to launch a full barage agianst the enemy. Russian ships can take alot more punishment than US ships. And sometimes when you are completely out gunned the only expendable resource are helicopter launched Torpedos for this you have to carefully plan your sortie.
There are a few setbacks though, for instance you can't arm your fighters with anti ship missles, instead you have to use them to escort your Prowlers this puts both planes at greater risk. And there are no gun battles in the game, I was hoping to see a battle with one of the Iowa's leading the fleet.

Price Paid:  $45.00 from Wal-mart

Summary:
I got this game and was skeptical at how this would work out. Then I turned it on. All I can say is WOW. I am proud to say that I am currently serving in the US NAVY and I have had the pleasure of seeing these vessles up close. This game culod not get any better but for a few minor details. "Attention to detail" I was so sick of hearing it and you hear it alot in the military. The game designers did just that. In-flight refuleing? not available but if you want to nit-pick then how about UNREPS & VertReps. Alot of fun and a good challenge overall.

Price Paid:  $45.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
Anyone having served in any modern Navy will be amazed at this sim. Fleet Command basically takes you in side the Combat Information Center(CIC) of a modern Naval Warship. Once inside it places you in command of the most powerful ships in the world. With Ticonderoga Cruisers of the U.S. Fleet to the Akula Class Submarines of the Russian Fleet, the possibilities are vast and the outcome never a sure thing.

Review NaN of 14
, from new zealand

Price Paid:  $2.00 from The Wharehouse

Summary:
All in all a good simulator, quite a few gliches though, missles attacking another target after the original has been identified--I don't think so, most smart missles don't get "decoyed" so easily. I also find the "Russian" flight tactics a bit unrealistic, although the submarine tactics seem true to form, if we believe what we've been told. The "Falkland's" scenario would be great to play from the Argentinian side as it stands, but unfortunately is totally unrealistic, though it does show up the British inadequacy of an early warning system, and the Argentinian inadequacy of the range their naval and air forces could operate too.
Notwithstanding that, can anyone answer the question: Why has the US mothballed and taken The PHOENIX missle system out of the picture, is the PATRIOT missle system that good?
