Electronic Arts Sid Meier Sim Golf Simulation Review

Electronic Arts Sid Meier Sim Golf

Description
Sid Meier's SimGolf puts you in charge of your very own golf resort. You'll get to play the roles of course designer, CEO, and resident pro as you try and grow your business from a small, public pitch-and-putt to a five star resort complete with private memberships, airstrips, and luxury hotels. To do this, you'll need to design courses that are fun and challenging and manage your resort's resources to satisfy your guests' growing needs. You'll even have a chance to test your course and your golf skills when your Sims challenge you to a round.

Summary:
When I woke up one day to learn Sid Meyer was at it again with another game I knew I had to get Sim Golf. Unfortunately hindsight tells me I wish I never bought the game. I did enjoy this game until after a while (several hours) it got boring and repetitive. Sid Meyer could have done much better with this title.

Price Paid:  $15.00 from Fry's Electronics

Summary:
A great concept that is really damaged by a lack of polish. I bought this game after becoming addicted to the demo--but waited until it hit the discount bin because of numerous irritating quirks in the demo. For the most part they have not been corrected, so it is a fun but pretty tedious game.

In the end I'm forced to conclude that the publisher didn't have enough faith in the game to provide the budget to make it right. The overall experience is better than the sum of the parts and it is a decent product.

Summary:
This is a great game! I dont like golf but I got the demo and tried it and loved it! The actuall game is great! There is so much you can do! Making a golf course is actually a lot more fun that it sounds, espically when you can play it after you make it! This game will not dissapoint.

Summary:
I love this game. I got the demo in maximum PC mag. I tried to buy it at media play however they were all out. I will got to best buy tommarrow.
This is one of the few excellant "different" games. I recommend this game to anyone how likes roller coaster tycoon or The Sims. I give it a 9.5 out of 10. It is a Sid Meir Game need I say more. I have freinds that don't like simulation games and they bought Sim Golf do to the fact they can play the courses they make.

Price Paid:  $29.00 from Friend

Summary:
If you play the game almost non-stop foir more than two days it becomes boring because all yuo have do is build a good golf course and ket it go and you accumlate money fast and then buy another course and it it just repeats and I personally dislike how you cannot exceed one hundred percent at any skill on your golfer but the computer oppents exceed one hundered at more than one skill.
