Summary:
The game is not how the others put it! Although they complain about what they don't like about the game its not just up to them to ram the game into the wall, different people have different ideas on how they view the game. You have to think to yourself that when you play a game you generally get bored of it after some time has passed and the concept of the game is normally to achieve an objection right? (I am saying this on the majority of games out their) Well the idea firstly to actually put the game out their online is a rather bold step. What game simulates real life and is almost near reality? Yes the game is not completly like our daily lifes but if you take a minute to think about it their is no game I have ever seen that simulates near reality of life of someone being able to control their every move and how they live their life, so when you think again that their are so many war games and shooting games but their is only one SIMS and no one thought to make a game like that but them! So while you guys complain on how you don't like this and that why don't you think positive about it and say WELL if there was no sims what game like that would I be able to buy? Another killing game where you see blood and gore full time? EVERYONE must remember no one person is this world is unique in everyway so that when they produce a game they don't try and make you angry and mess up on everything its just they can not put every little need in their. So overall what you see is what you get you can'y expect for a 5000$ experience when your paying under 50$ and i always say "If your so good why not do it your self"

Summary:
Im very dissapointed with the sims online... It was build up to be this great game & like others have said...just very dissapointing. Yes, I still play. I am disabled and on bedrest really dont have anything else I can do. But I find myself pulling away from the game more and more and checking out other things. I hope things will get better, because the sims online has not lost my total attention yet.

Summary:
Overall, this is not an example of high class in America. I have watched someone else play this game for several months. I now see spoilers on the screen. Those who must run around nude; physical fights; and overt sexual language. During spring break there were many young teen girls making "plays" for any man around. What will happen when spouses catch up with the private e-mail that goes on between players? Disabled or older people can have a great time, but soon the spoilers will make them go elsewhere. Some research contends gender-swapping is going on. How foolish would most men feel if they were flirting with a woman who turned out to be a man?

Summary:
This game is about as fun as dental surgery and as addicting as crack.
I continue to play because
1) my sim has finally made a good property, pride and such
2) I hold out on the hopes Maxis will get the development department more inline and start listening to our suggestions about objects and enhancements for better feel
3) have made some good ingame friends

Summary:
TSO is a huge disappointment. The repetition of skill building, working, & staying 'green', is mind-numbing. Apparently, it is to other players also because of the lack of friendly chat, or any chat at all. Many players are harsh, rude, beligerant and generally offensive. The negativism is much more so than one meets in the real world. Even in the real world, boring jobs and roommates still have SOME variance. The only hope of mental stimulation is meeting up with a friendly sim or someone that wants to invest in a property. Once the property is established, you are in a horrid cycle of maintenance, repair, and talking to other sims about the greening, money-making and how to stay in TSO without dying of boredom. Most of the people with the big houses got there by retiring sims, trading money from other sims in other cities, and scamming 'newbies' by insisting 'you give me your money and I'll buy stuff'. The newbie is left with no inventory or cash and the owners of the houses are all the richer. A few months back, players earned $1200 ea. time they bashed a pinata, and now new players get approx. $100 when they do it. The well established players have big houses, profitable businesses, and most treat new players like their peasants. And those would-be royalty don't want peasants rising up - ever. This game has managed to create a corrupt government and ecomony, and one can only imagine the real life of the the players that struggle to keep it that way. To call TSO communist is a flattery. See the history of the Czar of Russia (pre-communist) and then you got the picture. If you want to have fun, this is not the game. Don't buy this game. Find friendly chat rooms.
