Summary:
pretty nice if u like those methodical games

i initially had probs playing it until i installed a new Indeo codec [IndeoXP] since it is not included in WinXP Pro SP1/2.....u might be able to use a similar patch at M$: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=3C9464FB-7CD7-461B-AD24-6A4D1C5DF8FF

I also had a problem such that it reached the "loading" screen but wouldn't proceed after this, so i needed to right-click on its .exe file, select Properties, select Compatibility and then change the mode to Win98

plays great thereafter.

yes, this is a late review but this might be useful info for similar issues.

see ya!

Summary:
The game looks like a lot of fun. I was really excited about playing it. Unfortunately, I never got to play it. I never got past the game loading screen. I waited for 15 minutes and the game still hadn't loaded. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but still no luck! When you buy a game you expext to play it and not look at the game loading screen for 15+ minutes. I give this game a rating of "1"! And that's because I couln't submit the review without giving it some kind of rating. This game is not worth any amount of money!

Summary:
In this game you pilot ships and try to shoot people and sink other ships. Pretty much that's it. The gameplay was very bad before the beta patch that was given to the community by Sergey himself! Dont get me wrong the attempt at storms are pretty good, with thunder and lighting, but its not rolling thunder like it should be, and ships should creak and squeak with rubbing wood. The battle graphics are also good, with debris flying off of ships and floating in the water before they sink.

Summary:
Privateers bounty is a game based on the age of sail naval warfare, and the tactics that involved the use of weather gauges, massive broadsides and intense boarding actions. Well to tell you the truth, I anticipated this release for some time, being a member of the online community of AOS2. The graphics are great, the sound could use some work specifically the speech files. (the french voices are the worst, if I was french I would be offended) The gameplay was very bad before the beta patch that was given to the community by Sergey himself! So after the patch, the gameplay is much much better, as the sail damage was way too high.
