Summary:
This is the best flight sim out at the moment.
It is very good in all aspects save for a few inconsistencies. Highly recommended. Only disappointments are :
1. Cut scenes such as docking (always have to watch them, gets annoying)
2. Some missions are impossible (trials etc which are totally boring and frustrating - could have done without these)
3. The annoying little kid for the first little part of the game (I hate his guts, and you will too :D)

I definitely recommend this game!!! although you should download the 'location finder' and walkthrough for the hardest parts of the game.

Summary:
Independence War 2 - Edge of Chaos (IW 2) has to be the most frustrating computer game I have ever come across (and yes, I have seen quite a few in my time since the days of the Spectrum's) at the same time as being one of the most brilliant. It is a real paradox of a game to try and rate because it features both the very best in a computer game as well as the very worst. If problems with the gameplay (see below) had been addressed it would have rated 5/5 overall.

This is a great gaming experience, but you will only get through it with alot of blood, sweat and tears, leaving you feeling rather jaded by the whole thing.

Summary:
A very pitiful attempt at making a space/trading sim. Rather than give space-sim/trading fans what they want: wide-range of trading options/non-linear gameplay/custom ships and equipment/a sense of freedom; instead, they are given a quagmire of disturbing features lifted straight from the Space Sim 101 handbook, Chapter 13: How To Self-Destruct Your Space Sim Game.
This game in a few words: Linear, Laborious (emphasis or the BOR(e) part), Lame, and Forced.
