Summary:
I bought this game when I was running Windows ME and it was superb. I had always liked the earlier Jane's series of games and was a huge fan of US Navy Fighters all those years ago. However, I didnt buy this game until it was released on budget. I am glad to say that that was not a mistake as the game is excellent. However, the game will not work properly with Windows XP. The game loads and plays fine but the drop down selection boxes on the menu dont work so it limits your choices and is quite irritating.

Summary:
Even Though The Game Has Been Out For An Extremly Long Time. I Still Feel It's A Cut Above The Rest. I Recently Purchased Microsoft's Flight Simulator 2002 Professional, And I Have To Say That USAF Is Far Better, Don't Get Me Wrong I Enjoy MFS2K2.

And With The Updates/Add-Ons How Can You Go Wrong With Jane's USAF. Must Buy!!

Summary:
Jane's right on target but the warhead's a dud with this sim. One of few flight sims that got dumped off my hard drive. The game runs nicely even on the minimum system I've got (reasonable frame rate with the system 'tweaked', but the weird flight models and the 'teleport to complete mission' requirement stomp the game for me. I'm not suprised that no large body of mission designers (as exist for FA) popped up, since the mission generator has to rate as the worst and most cumbersome I've ever encountered (except the idiotic 'you have to have excel' spreadsheet missions with CFS). I'd wait until this one goes into the EA 'gold' series for $9.95; it might be worth paying that much if they make F-15 illegal to own.
