Summary:
I am a private and a certified atc pilot, and i can safely tell you that this game is an excact simulation of flying... i fly private jets as a living... mostly gulfstream and 727 aircraft.. im experienced with 737's also and you can safely say that fs2004 is an exact simulation of the aircraft.. from handeling, to controls and instruments, including the radio stack that has all the correct frequencies for localizer aproaches and vor navigation. I flew the 747 simulators in heathrow (the real one that they train pilots on) and it is quite an experience... the only difference is that fs2004 has better graphics and in the simulator you actually feel like you are flying it simulates the G-forces... flight sim2004 is identical to the real simulator... the only thing missing is the feeling of flight... you never know what could come next!

Price Paid:  $49.00 from Wal Mart

Summary:
FS 2004 is a very good sim.But that's all it is.It is NOT a game. You just fly from one local to another. The sites are good but not great, such as the Grand Canyon, Browns stadium and other US cities. Although Rome in Italy is very nice. The learning videos are excellent. No more reading a thick boring book. The great drawback in MS flight sim 2004, is that only the airports and major cities are shown on the pilot maps. The sites locations are NOT. I had a hell of a time finding Boulder Hoover dam. So if you want to see a notable site, you won't find it on the map. You must first look it up on the internet or a Rand McNally map you have in your home.. All in all the sim is VERY addicting and a LOT of FUN.I would give it a B+ overall.

Summary:
Well, overall I think the game rules. I don't know what fs2002, was like but this was significantly better than my previous fs (fs2000) which personally I thought it was a load of s###!

I think you guys below need to do some video tweaking if that is all the fps you are getting from your machines. I get constant smooth play with everything turned to the max. Great game if you like to just chill out and fly around.
