Price Paid:  $25.00 from games r us

Summary:
A good simple wargame, while i tend to exel at loosing in strategy games (bar commandos) this one is reasonably easy, very easy.
I got it cheap but i am a fan of the pnzer genral series scince panzer gennral waaaaay back in 1994 on my rocket fast 33mhz 486 with a whopping 4mb RAM..those were the days.
But in today, this game is fine and a good continuation, but it could have been better. But the thing that REALLY irks me big time is the lack of several feaures, like a mission editor, soviets, and a random battle generator, the former two in PG2 and the 3rd a much asked for.
But what pissed me off more was how SSI decided to flog it all to us for extra money. I mean the fact it wasn't there in the first place was bad, but to expect us to play for it? come on!

Price Paid:  $25.00 from Babbages

Summary:
I thought this game added a very unique and intresting look at WWII. With the 3d graphics and 360 degree rtation added a great dimension to turn-based games.

Summary:
I thought PG3d had good and bad points, but the bad outnumbered the good by far. The 3d was nice but the units were very slow to get to their objective. The 3d and the roster slot system slowed the game down from the usual point and click with 50 units to point and wait with 15 units.

Summary:
PG3 was a excellent addition to the PG series. It was not as pretty as PG2, but the 3d is nice.

Summary:
The Best in WW2 Wargaming returns! Panzer General 3d is not the best of the whole "general" series but is still an excellant wargame and well worth your money. It will be hard to find (electronics boutique does not have it at all), but seasoned wargamers and anybody who likes strategy games will enjoy this title. There are, however, some small drawbacks:

-No Eastern Front battles, which makes the campaigns slightly shorter ("What?!? I can't play as Zhukov?")

-The annoying "Roster slot" system, although this can be altered in the campaigns

-It's only fun to play as the Germans, because all of the other campaigns involve fighting forces with superior equipment. (German Tiger versus American Shermans, for instance)

-Strange events, such as the Italians invading France to attack the Germans in late 1940 (Yes, I actually saw this happen)

Don't let these small things get in your way though- it is still an excellent wargame that is easy to learn and rich in gameplay.
