Price Paid:  $39.00 from Babbages I think

Summary:
BHD with the expansion packs has kept me thoroughly entertained since it was released. I moved through Delta Force 2, Landwarrior 3 with the rest, but BHD was the pinnacle. Where most people try to hard to make things reality or more real, Nova has tastefully added things that enhance the challenges of the game. (Spawn points) In addition the number of independent developers and servers has never had few than 600 people online over the years that I've been playing this game.

There are too many people I know as friends only through BHD, and I'm very appreciative of novalogics respect in updating and maintaining the software platform. Nova also made raptor, but ruined it when they tried to make it tooo realistic and players lost interest..

With Team modes, and different variations of games, the game has kept me entertained.

Strengths:
Graphics are great for it's age. Team Play has kept the game interesting, to be honest I never finished the individual game. Multiplayer is the most challenging, group on group or individual versus all. Adding, moving or deleting spawn points (after you get killed you can respawn at a spawn point if your team controls the spawn)

Chat and voice interaction! though it gets you killed....

Builds team thought and approaches..

Weaknesses:
Age of product, tournaments are no longer as visible as they once were, control of cheats have been a problem but they've toned down.

Nova has several games it abandons instead of extends. examples Wolfpack, Raptor, Commanche and probably BHD.

Price Paid:  $20.00 from CompUSA

Summary:
Even at the bargain price of $20 both Black Hawk Down and Team Sabre come across as rather thin gruel compared to the Ghost Recon series that has supplanted Novalogic’s entries into the tactical FPS genre. With only a dialup connection, I obviously can’t speak for the multiplayer aspects of these two games, but the single player aspects offer occasional moments of fun interspersed with too many moments of frustration and level-reloading drudgery. With Novalogic seemingly content at the moment to release a mildly upgraded version of a seven –year old game (i.e., “Delta Force: Xtreme”), it’s obvious that the Delta Force series is now resigned to also-ran status alongside Red Storm’s titles.

Price Paid:  $25.00 from EB

Summary:
First off, what is this fad of comparing FPS games to Half Life?? The truth is, Half Life was a crap game and the only good that came from it were the Day of Defeat and Counterstrike mods. Yeah, cry all you want, but someone had to say it.
So is Delta Force:BHD a 'Halflife beater'? Of course it is, but then so is almost every other FPS out there.
Now that the price has dropped for Delta Force BHD, it's worth the money. Nova Logic has always trailed behind in graphics and a.i., but this game does have an engrossing intensity and feel of 'being there' that will keep most gamers satisfied.

, from USA

Price Paid:  $40.00 from Wal-mart

Summary:
Overall this game is great. For a FPS, you expect good gameplay, graphics, and action. This game delivers the goods on these fronts. This game easily rivals Half-Life as my choice for FPS in LAN play. The multiplayer is amazing and incredibly fun. Pick this game up if you have enough friends with the minimum specs. required.
