Review NaN of 8
, from Phoenixville PA USA

Price Paid:  $20.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
Starts off slow because it takes a long time to aquire money. The background garf are the best I've seen. Ship detail could be better but all in all the game kept me interested until the end. I never ended the game because I wanted to build all the factories along with the most ships.

, from England

Price Paid:  $30.00 from PC World

Summary:
The mark of any good PC game is always it's 'longlivity' - how long do you want to keep playing for and how often do you go back to it. Well, xTension (the add-on to XBTF) is one of those games. For any of you out there that remember Elite and loved it - this games brings you home. Be what you want, do what you want and induldge yourself in the space fantasy - no rules, no pre-set goals just plain and simple adventure

Review NaN of 8
, from Orono ME

Price Paid:  $30.00 from Mall

Summary:
Well the matter of fact is that the game is a bit slow at the beginning however i found the game speed up once you made the money to buy the necessary equipments. If people weren't incompetent traders and investers they wouldn't even need the guide which is by the way left the as samll as possible like it should be. I found myself playing this game many hours. It is quite addictive however the game shouldn't take more than 110 hours to complete if you are capable of playing such games. I have played it twice now and give it good review...as it wasn't attended to be a Han Solo game but mere a game for traders like Ellite was when I played that. Well done.

Review NaN of 8
, from Ireland

Price Paid:  $6.00

Summary:
Having never played Elite i can not comment on the supposed similarities. if they're quite alike then i'd probably be a big fan Elite because i love this game. X-BTF follows the rewarding yet sometimes frustrating format of discovering how to play the game by making you work. the story unfolds as you explore the 50+ space sectors and your understanding of how to advance becomes evident as you trade, gain credits and upgrade your ship using the many trading stations. For me this was the most appealing factor in the game. Starting off with a measly 100 credits donated by a generous alien race you must trade and make some serious profit. There is no sense of urgency and the open endedness is limitless. The workload is huge just to afford an engine to speed up your ship but, after that the game really opens up. It is so satisfying to have purhased a product on the cheap and manage to sell it somewhere else at a much higher price. The plot involves you being stranded from Earth trying to get home.....etc, don't worry about it as it becomes evident soon. This is essentially the format for the first part of the game and although requires considerable patience is nevertheless VERY rewarding. Patience is key here people

Review NaN of 8
, from Spijkenisse Holland

Price Paid:  $25.00 from Dynabite

Summary:
X-Beyond The Frontier came out and I bought it immediately. I just had to get my hands on the game that followed up Elite and Frontier (David Braben's games). Crisp Graphics are written all over this game and I was ready for some heavy trading, dog-fighting and pirating!

It turned out a bit different, but I'm stilly VERY happy with X-BTF.
