Summary:
This is hands-down one of the best games i've ever played in my entire life as a gamer. It beats Counterstrike (from the beta days), Alien vs Predator, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Quake, UT, [insert game here] without any question.

The singleplayer experience is okay. It's basically like Rogue Spear and Rainbow Six. You go through a planning phase, setting up paths and waypoints for you and your team members and select weapon kits for each member. I only played the first few missions, because quite frankly, it's just more of the same.

On the other hand, the multiplayer for this game is absolutely phenomenal. It plays much the same as Rogue Spear did back in the day, with a very different (read: improved) feel to it. Very polished.

New features include a new system that rates each gun in different categories of performance, such as Range, Accuracy, Stability, etc, which makes it much easier to find a gun to suit your style, rather than guessing at which gun is better for what, as in Rogue Spear. And while each gun is unique and feels very different, they are all very well balanced.

Also, dedicated servers make finding games much easier than the previous method used, in which one player would have to host on his machine (via Gamespy) and wait for others to join.

The bottom line is that this is a must-have title for any fan of the Rainbow Six series, or if you just love the intense, deliberately paced multiplayer battles. They've kept me sticking around for the better part of 2 years.

Summary:
The Rainbow Six series has been the best ever Tactical Shooter I have ever known, but Raven Shield really is FANTASTIC. Quite a long learning curve and some tricky missions, but with the right planning it's great.

Summary:
There are two type of people (game players) in this world, those that like and swear by Medal of honor where you run around shooting things and have a health bar depleting when you get shot, and those that like Rainbow 6 where stealth and precision is the key and one shot can end your game.
I originally rented the very first ever rainbow 6, and liked it so much bought it, and EVERY other one since (including ghost recon) and all the addons, and played them single player, multi player on a home network and also on line. So i think i`m qualified to give an accurate (if not a little biased) review of Raven shield.
I down loaded the demo version of this game before it was released and was a bit dissapointed, but bought it never the less when it was released. I cant quite put my finger on why i was dissapointed, but on reflection it must have been because some of the options were missing from the demo version. i am now more than pleased at the upgrade and vast improvement of this release over all of it predecessors.

Summary:
I just finished this game. I had never played any of the rainbow 6 games before. I purchased it for the multiplayer but I wanted to do a couple missions in single player to get the hang of the controls. As of yet I still havent tried multiplayer because I got hooked on the single player.
