Summary: Well, in case you didn't know what a Gameshark is/was it is a unlicensed peripheral made by a company called Interact. It has many features but the main feature of this peripheral is to allow you the gamer to have infinite lives, Unlimited ammo and other codes or cheats like having all the characters unlocked in Tekken 3. This is the newest Gameshark additon for PlayStation therefore it has codes for relativly new games like Driver and Fighting Force 2. The only problem is that there isn't that many different codes for each game. There usually is about 6 or 7 codes per game. On the plus side, you can buy books with new codes or find new codes for old and new games all over the net. That brings me to another point. Since this peripheral can't be released constantly by Interact it allows you to add new games on its database when they are released. It of course also lets you enter different codes for the new games that you add. Speaking of entering codes, you do it by first naming the code that you are about to enter with whatever you want to call it even though I recommend calling it by what it does so you don't forget what each code does. After you have done that you then are asked to enter different numbers that are the code. The numbers obviously differ from each other so that the Gameshark can distinguish between codes. The only problem is that some codes have alot of numbers to enter and you can easily lose your place in the code and screw up possibly corrupting the codes. What does that mean? Well, it has happened to me before and what it does is possibly wreck the Gameshark or make the game you enter the codes for freeze up in the middle of playing. That can be frustrating when you are playing a RPG with set save points and you have gotten really far then bang! The game freezes and you lose your progress. It sucks! This package also includes a pathetic video on how to make your own codes and a Explorer feature that allows you to listen to game soundtracks. Although the package is big, I really couldn't recommend this product for the simplem fact that it wreck your games and possibly your PlayStation.Don't buy this garbage product! The earlier Gamesharks are far more reliable. Report this review >>
