Summary:
Sony has done it again. I loved the PSX (used to be PS1), and now it's portable. I love taking it in the car or on an airplane.

Summary:
The Sony Playstation has been out since 1996. Though the graphics are out dated by the CUBE, XBOX,and PS2. The PS One is still a good system after 7 years on the market.

Summary:
Sony does it again. With this new PSone model, they were able to revive and earn couple of billions of dollars. From what I know, PSX has the average life span of 3~5 years. Knowing this Sony seized the moment and created new and improved PlayStation. To further their innovation, they've added the option to transform it to Mobile gaming system. I thought that was kewl, folks at Sony deserves a pat on their shoulder.

Summary:
When I was a kid, I would stay up way past bedtime watching stuff like Three Stooges, Lost In Space, Get Smart and Rat Patrol. I would throw my entire blanket over my TV so my parents wouldn't see the light coming from up under the door. Man I sure wish I had a PSone back in those days! It's perfect for "undercover" gaming. This thing is great. It's so little! And cute! You'll want to give it a name. And it really is perfect for playing games in bed. Videogames that is. ;P
I'm tempted to compare it with the GBA, but it's not a handheld by any means. But it is portable and has some advantages over the GBA.
First is its screen. Five inches and back lit and very high quality. Also the complexity of the controller allows for more variance in gameplay. Sound is no comparison at all.

BUT... you can fit the GBA in your pocket, as well as the games. Don't need a memory card, and the GBA runs on batteries for about 15 hours (minus a light) while the PS1's battery pack lasts only 2 hours. But that's another review for another piece of hardware. Overall the PS1 is no threat to the GBA's dominance, but putting the power of the old PSX in a portable was a great idea! Kudos to Sony! I bought the last one as it seems college students are snatching them up to take back to school.

Summary:
Overall this is an excellent system. I had the first version a few years after it came out and paid $199 for it. I sold it a few years later when I needed some cash. I have an Xbox, and a few other systems (vintage systems). At $50 this thing is a steal!! Sure the Nex Gen systems are better but for the price this thing has some value. I love re-living games I used too play. I purchased Loaded, Wipeout 3 and Castlevania Chronicles and a used memory card. All this for about $80!! What a deal!! Compact, portable you can take it anywhere now!!
