Price Paid:  $10.00 from EB Games

Summary:
Note: This game is for Atari 2600/Activision fans only! What a great compilation 30 of fun, addictive Activision games from the Atari 2600 days. A few of the reviews below me don't understand that these games were from Activision, I think these were nearly ALL of the activisions games for the 2600! It is also pretty obvious that these reviewers are probably spoiled kids who grew up on PSone and cannot appreciate the classic gameplay, graphics and sound. In my opinion, Activision produced the greatest lineup of games for the Atari 2600 and they are all captured in one disc.

Summary:
Oh, COME ON! Why is there only about thirty games on the CD-rom? Games for the Atari 2600 are only about 4 or 8Ks of space. That would add up to roughly about 150 kilobytes of space. Yea, I would fit this who thing on a floppy disk, and still have more space left in it. So why did they waste a CD room? I bet you that on this CD, they used about a tenth of a space on this, while I can fit a thousand copies of this on a single CD. Perhaps that there should of been 300 games on this. Puting so few Atari games on this is a waste of money to the company, and a waste of CD material. I hope that if they make another Atari Classics CD, then perhaps that they should of put down 500 games on it, instead of 30. It would of been nice to let me program my own Atari game for it, too.

And, if you want to play the real Atari games, then please get the Atari 2600 carts instead. At fifty cents a piece, you can buy this games at about half price, and get perfect sounds.

Summary:
This game is a compilation of 30 old Atari games. This, like the Namco classic games, features games with bad graphics and fairly good gameplay. I beleive that Activision released this game because they saw the popularity of the Namco series. The other compilations out there feature about 6 games per one. This one tries to obviously distinguish itself from the others by offering a astounding 30 games. The one problem that makes the number of games worthless is that some of the games that played flawlessly on their oringinal system now encounter slowdown. That is pathetic considering that the games don't take up alot of space on the disc all together. There was probably alot of empty room on the disc and Activision didn't utilize it by maybe putting interviews with the oringinal game creators. That would add alot to the nonstagic value of this average compilation.

Summary:
Overall, if you like the classic gaming atari thing, this is for you. It has a good assortment of games(30), but as you could probably figure, the graphics and sound aren"t top-notch.
