Summary:
I would like to start by saying how much i like this game but i would be lying ...

i LOVE this game!

As old as it is now it is still the SINGLE BEST fighting game on ANY console EVER!

Sure it has some ugly textures and the sound might not be perfect but why the hell should i care! It plays like a dream its hours of endless fun!

Now im a big fan of the Soul Blade series and graphically yes Soul Blade is very far ahead in how it looks but the actual fighting (which by the way is the core of the game) is nowhere close to that of Bushido Blade.

In what other game does it throw you down the gauntlet of realism and allow you to reinact some of the most intense/hilarious/random battles you will ever see? What other game employs this superb one hit system coupled with a giant play area!

Summary:
This is a great game, but they did better on Bushido Blade 2 ( see my summary on Bushido Blade2 also). But its still a good game. I love the way you can run around and have a REALISTIC sword fight. For example you cant hit them 20 times with a sword and not kill them as in other battle games. Very cool with the blood too.

Summary:
Well here I am reviewing Bushido Blade a game which a lot of people call the best weapons baased fighting game ever now I am not sure if that istrue but probaly. Lets compare it to another great weapons based fighter Soul Blade. First lets talk about graphics well some the Bushido Balde moves look good but Soul Blade kicks its ass in graphics big time. In sound well Soul Blade has bad sound exept Sophitia who really cool but Bushido Blade is a lot better on sound. Now on to the most important category gameplay well Soul Blade is playable but it is just so wierd at times and for some reason certain guys are impossible in the edge master mode meanwhile Bushido Blade is extremly fun with some very good gameplay. In characters Bushido Blade jsut barely wins thatnks to cool guys Black Lotis and Utsesemi. Overall Bushido Blade wins but now on to the review it self. Well the graphics are not bad man they are not good either but the blood looks cool however some the characters are terrible. The gameplay is very good however this game is different than any other weapons based fighting game because instead of using a power bar in Bushido Blade you can win in one hit but it is still very fun but sometimes it takes a whole bunch of hits depending on where you hit them. The characters are mostly okay they are Black Lotis, Utsesemi, Kannuki, Tatsumi, Red Shadow and some one I forget. Anyway the game is very good.
High Points
Very fun
Good Gameplay
Black Lotis and Utsesemi are cool
Good weapons
Excellent slash mode
Good controls
Low Points
Decent Graphics
The later stages of Slash Mode are too hard
Dumb story mode
some bad characters like Tatsumi
Now For The Ratings
Graphics 5
Sound 6
Controls 8
Gameplay 9
Fun Factor 8
Overall 8.0

Bushido* Blade: *Bushido = Way of the Samurai

When I was first told about that game, I though: "With that name, I hope they (Squaresoft) know what they're talking about." You see, I don't like to see people talking about budo when they don't have the foggiest idea of what it is. However, it is still only a video game, but it is supposed to be realistic. We'll see about that...

Summary:
In one word, wow. This is one of the most amazing games I have ever played. Although it does have a few glitches here and there, the strong points of this game overlap, and make you forget about the problems. The graphics look great, the stories are great, even the sound is great. This is just one of those titles were your eyes want to stop, but your hands kepp moving until the numbness overpowers you and you are forced to put down the control.
