from Best Buy Summary: I first played this game prior to the release of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and since them I've played a lot of different games. Final Fantasy X, Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Devil May Cry, and many others. Let me just say this, there is no game that even comes remotely close to Metal Gear Solid. The storyline is the greatest ever created. It has plenty of action, outstanding character development, its always exciting, and even adds a little humor in there. Unlike Splinter Cell, you actually can remember some of the characters with the exception of the main character that you control. You care about each and every character. You care what happens to them, and even at times it can bring out your emotions. I would like to add on to the praise that Hideo Kojima has been showered with by saying that he has found the perfect balance between a game and real life. People complain that the guards can only see a few feet in front of them, but then they turn around and expect Snake to carry thousands of rounds of ammo in his back pocket. By allowing the guards to only see a litte ways in front of them it shows that it is just a game. Then, by forcing you to use your brain on how conservative you are with ammo, it adds some of a challenge in there. This is the greatest game that I have ever played. Report this review >>
