from Forgot Summary: Good action RPGs are a rare commodity outside the Legend of Zelda series. For myself, BFM was a welcomed addition to my library. You play a tiny swordsman magically summoned to save a kingdom. OK, so the story is about as deep as the memoirs of Anna Nicole Smith, but what did you expect? BFM features an excellent cast of characters all w/ their own distinctive voices and personalities. You're definitely going to find characters you hate and love. There are a good amount of puzzles which are not difficult to solve, but very tedious. The door puzzle around the end of the game is a prime example, the forest maze is another. The texture maps used in BFM make nice backgrounds and the music is good. I still can remember the main theme. BFM's major flaw is its save system. Basically the only place you can save is at the town's single inn. You can also save after Chapter 1 and inbetween segments at the end of the game, but the inn's really all you have. The memory chests scattered throughout the game don't really count since once you turn off the PlayStation your data disappears. Besides, if you use the memory chests you lose half your money, so what's the point? This type of save system is totally unacceptable for an action RPG. Other than that, BFM is a very good game.
