Though I have just purchashed ALundra 2 at a sale (£2.50), I cannot believe that I have stumbled on a game which has turned out to be so enjoyable though it is not without it's mistakes.

Summary:
Hi...! it's me again. okay about alundra 2, i did not really play it for a very long time. then what gives me the right to put a review here then? okay here's the point.

Alundra is a rpg game. but then again, right from the start i have no idea what the whole story is about. even as i continue playing, i only know that i am contolling the main character and using him to slash and jump at opponents in battles.

The battle system is bad. very bad. it is not really turn based. it is sort of like u control ur hero (boy), the boy can jump to dodge fireballs, attack at opponents with the sword.

Anyone played Rockman games? yeah...the bosses always seem to be strong and powerful. but everytime after they do an action, there seem to be a repetitive (repeated) dumb action like maybe he will jump for no reason, or fire a ball and u can jump over it and slash the boss. Get what i mean? which means grab hold of all the repeating parts and u can beat the boss. that's at least what i felt.

that's why it's boring. Imagine starting a game where u dunno why u are there, what u are fighting for, playing in dumb battle systems made for little schoolboys...arghh!!

of course then u have those gimmicks like magic anf ealing potions stuff but none of that help with the fact that the battle part sucks.

The graphics are blocky.

Legend of Legaia graphics are blocky but i love the game.

Xenogears graphics are blocky and i love the game.

Alundra 2 graphics are blocky and i fell alseep playing the game.

(see the big differences)

They have sort of like the characters talking with voiceover and cheap 3D animation which is blocky. None of these excites me to continue playing the game.

The sound from Alundra 2 is fine. Nothing outstanding though.

Anyway if u asks me, i would say please invest your money in other rpg games cus it's gonna worth more of your time, effort and money than playing this game.

That's all for now...i'll be back...

Summary:
This is a game under average. It seems to be made with no love and no joy on making a game for kids or youngsters. Its primary made for the japanese market, where it seems that simply everything smelling to manga is bought by the kids. There are so many other games, where most parts are made better than here. The story looks like a forgotten and dusty script of a 810th manga-issue as found in a used-comics shop and I give my thanks to the video shop that I wasn't trapped to by it but able to lend it for a couple of cents.
